Round 5. Manny is coming up against a real welterweight and Cotto will be way to strong for Manny.

We will see. No one really knows what's going to happen in this one. Maybe Cotto beats him down and is too big, then cool. Or Manny blows him out and calls Mayweather out right there. Then Manny would have handled a real WW and be a great opponent for Mayweather. Or Pac loses to Cotto and then I hope Cotto kicks Mayweather's ass. Or he doesn't and Mayweather is the real ATG

i see cotto getting cut up around the eyes in this fight, judah's southpaw style and quickness caught cotto coming in with upercuts in the early rounds and hurt him. I know i shouldent make comparisons between judah and pacquiao but i think cotto may be in for a long night.

It did get very far...in the opposite direction.

It was a sad sight. Cotto's wife and son were in the audience (you NEVER do that) and there is footage of his wife crying when Cotto was being hit with hard shots. She ultimately left before the fight was over.

    Completely different.

Favoring Cotto in 2009 and favoring Mosley in 2011 are two completely different balls of wax.

Yes, Cotto had already taken the mental and physical toll of suffering the loss to Margarito (making him "damaged goods" according to some) but he was 28 years old and still close to his peak at the time he fought Pacquiao. He was also the first young legitimate welterweight Pacquiao had ever faced (not counting the DLH farce), so it was reasonable at the time to think size would be an issue.

Mosley is well past his peak and at the time he fights Pacquiao will be 4 months shy of his 40th birthday. Pacquiao has shown during and repeatedly since the Cotto fight that his speed can neutralize the size advantage of a true welterweight.

Favoring Cotto back in 2009 made far more sense than favoring Mosley now does.
