Right, there's "controversy" then there's controversy. One is made up and the other isn't. I never expect there to be controversy beforehand though, that's just odd and questionable in nature.

Cotto will be robbed big time on a decision. Canelo will start quick, try take Cotto out, will win early rounds this way but wont get rid of Cott and will tire and then Cotto takes control and win more rounds by the end but will lose on a nonsense decision.

I'm not totally sold on Canelo as he's never really been pushed hard. I actually think Cotto is more skilled but is not mentally tough. All that being said, I see the younger & bigger Lion putting a beating on Cotto. Only way he doesn't stop him is if Cotto gets on his survival bike.

Not necessarily. For instance I was just being precise with my answer. If there is no controversy such as a long count, failed PED test, illegal tactics, incompetent judging etc then I won't make excuses. If there are blatant excuses then people will obviously make excuses and be justified in doing so.

Having controversy on your mind doesn't necessarily mean you are looking for excuses. Controversy is fairly common in boxing so many boxing fans will acknowledge the possibility that something controversial could happen in this bout.

Neutral in this fight, I like both of them. I think Cotto is the superior boxer, nothing but props to the winner.

For the entire time I have been in ESB when a fight between PR vs Mexico comes around, I find a way to come in a give props win or lose. I will say this though, this fight is starting to shape up as a legit war between two great fighters. The last time we had one like this was Tito vs Vargas and we know how that one ended up. In one corner you have a battle proven warrior with lots of experience in Cotto and on the other corner you have a young hungry lion (whom may have 42 fights but we can't count the first 26 fights as most were in Mexico fighting every 2 weeks thus not acquiring any ring experience, just my IMHO) who is fighting to prove himself now days (he has nothing to prove in my eyes). Let the best MAN win......

BTW - Its 2:41pm in H-Town and I am leaving at 8:48pm for Vegas because I have to see this one live too.....

Lol the only advantage Cotto has over Canelo is"footwork" Both have a good left hook but Canelo has a great uppercut and a great right hand something Cotto doesn't have...

    I like both fighters
Cotto by shocking KO in 11th or early 12th round.....However if Canelo can stay in for the full fight and not gas out the judges will gift him the edge.

Cotto got the wrong folks ****ed because he refused to pay the belt $ so expect some pre-filled scorecards :hey

Canelo will be flustered if he can't get Cotto out by round 5 with a big power shot. Canelo will then be dragging his heavy feet and getting pot shot all night and then BAM....Cotto gets the KO .....Only catch is Cotto has to avoid the power shots early on brother :deal

So, time to give Canelo his due

Scores too wide like indicated, but certainly the right winner. "NO EXCUSES!" :deal
