I could care less where is a fighter is from and I hate to rain on Joe's parade, but Pavlik would match Joe's workrate and take him out.
I just made the same post, I couldn't agree more. Bernard landed two rights that stunned him. Pavlik will land at a much higher rate then BHOP. Basically the slaps will not slow down Pavlik from his offensive gameplan. I definintly see Pavlik chasing JC around, not like tonight.
I think Pavlik wins but I think my timing was in bad taste. I look like a bitter American which could not be further from the truth. Sorry bad timing good win for Joe. Congrats!

So Pavlik is the next Great American Hope? Bring it on! He has less defensive skill than Hopkins's left hand and is far weaker physically than Huggy Hopkins. Joe could seriously hurt Pavlik, which would be unfortunate since I see good things from Pavlik at 160 and 168.
Calzaghe won't go near Pavlik and he won't fight Kessler again either, the reason being he would LOSE!!!!
Pavlik now i think JC would win easy. pavlik agaist JC 8-9 years ago pavlik would have been close both front foot fighters with not much defense great speed and lots of KO power. Pavlik in 5 years time against the JC in prime i cant make a decission will have to wait and see how much pavlik improves and if he can sure up his no existant defense and develop more angles and keep the workrate/power
