Especially for bumdujour and friends. Listening to your pain and sadness is almost as entertaining as seeing Popkins get manhandled and faking lowblows like a *****. Let's condense all of your excuses and crying into one easy and highly amusing thread. I'm all ears.... :thumbsup
Hmm.... disappointing so far. I guess you all have come to your senses and accept that the better man won, fair and square. Fair play to you. This content is protected
There are still threads and threads of tears appearing. Please guys, for the sake of cleaning up the forum of redundant and repetative garbage, can you all just post your whining in this one place. It might actually help you get over the pain - it will be like group therapy. :good
I predicted a wide UD for Calzaghe and I scored the fight 9 rounds to 3. However, I was very impressed (yet again) by Hopkins who managed at 43 to keep things competitive through much of the fight.
Hopkins is 43 years old Calzaghe slaps The ref didn't DQ Calzaghe for a blatantly deliberate and full-blooded lowblow Hopkins didn't lose, everyone but the British knows this Calzaghe didn't hurt Hopkins with any of his punches Dawson/Pavlik/RJJ in his prime would all beat Calzaghe are there any more? :huh
Throwing and landing punches that don't inflict serious damage is worse than holding excessively and barely throwing or landing any punches at all
Anyone knows that rounds are scored like this: Amount of clinches * landed shots divided by age of opponent. Hopkins clearly won the fight. Furthermore - anyone knows that Hopkins balls are situated right below the waistline, so JC should have been DQ'd.
You call him popkins in your own thread title -Implying Joe won a split over an old man, who dropped him in the first round - Are you trying to elevate the win or negate it's meaning?
I only saw one fighter "manhandled".... This content is protected Calzaghe's shoulder slaps and air hockey vs Hopkins' counter: This content is protected As I said before, there is a reason why many in the major media (let alone Joe and his father before the announcement :rofl ) had Hopkins winning or Calzaghe winning by a razor thin margin. This includes British sources as well such as BBC Sports and Setanta (of course, the dumb Brit accusations of the other major sources such as ESPN and AP choosing Hopkins because he is an American is absurd when their track records show otherwise)
