Calzaghe only won the fight cos' he was more aggressive and active in the fight and had Hopkins gassed for the last few rounds.

Any one can see that Hopkins had Joe fearing for his life with that 4 punches a round master blasting, and Ruiz style clinching.

    Whats wrong with you people.

I just knew the "Popkins" remark would get under the skin of some of you guys.

    This is too easy.

Come on, you all can do better than this!

We've had some 3-second gifs, how about some grainy stills to prove that Hopkins dominated? :deal

    Please??

"As every knows, only punches that cuts the opponent counts", so Hopkins clearly won the fight.

Hopkins made Calzaghe miss and took him to school to the amount where he didn´t even have to throw any punches himself, he obviously didn´t have to.
He won the fight making Calslappy look amateurish...

Hopkins should have won based on age.

X threw less and landed less, but that just shows that he's a master of energy conservation.

Clearly, the fighter that throws less punches should always be declared the winner based on clean, effective lazyness.

Lampley: "Over to our unofficial judge, Harold Lederman, for the rules of the bout"

Harold: "Heh heh, OK Jim, the four scoring criteria are Clean Clinching, Effective Headbutts, Ring Distance Covered and Defensive Backpedalling Speed; with a strong emphasis on Clean Clinching. Jim."

Apparently Drexl is too disillusioned to have realized if Ted Gizma had scored the 2nd round for Hopkins just as the other two judges, or round 7 where Hopkins buckled Calzaghe and almost sent him to the canvas (after a round of phantom punching by Calzaghe), Drexl would be posting in the "OFFICIAL Calslappy excuses and robbery claims thread" :rofl

Calzaghe lost because of his 'ineffective aggression', whereas Hopkins won due to his 'effective idleness'.
Meaning Hopkins could've spent the entire fight sitting in the front row and still won the decision.

That hit that knocked Joe on his ass in the first round was an O.K. one.
Yeah, i know, I know, Hop got tired and Joe bravely catpawed his was to another victory - he is a legend, but he did say he was gonna 'dominate' the guy.

Exposed is too delusional (I think that is the word you were looking for.. :rofl ) to realize that none of those "if's" he is jibberjabbering about actually happened.

Therefore we have The OFFICIAL Popkins excuses & "robbery" claims thread.

Thanks for contributing your tears. :hi:

Letting the pain out will help you get over it in the long run.

Didn't Hopkins say he would never lose to white boy? Didn't he also say he would never lose to a kid from Arkansas?

We already concluded earlier that Calzaghe isn't technically white.
