The Official "Re-Score Froch Vs Dirrell" Thread...

First 2 rounds Dirrell...Froch barely even touch Direll. 20 to 18 Direll at the start of 3

 

I cant even see how you gave Froch the first round...what did he land? Do you not count Dirrells body work? Do you only count Froch shots to the body...?

 

1. Dirrell - better jab, more accurate, very close
2. Dirrell - wider than the second but still close
3. Dirrell - Dirrell starts to throw more power shots and lands them

R1 - Dirrell: Froch did next to nothing (am I missing jabs he landed??), Dirrell had the better jab and had a couple decent counters. No running/effective aggression factor.

R2 - Dirrell: Dirrell landed only meaningful punches (counters) and his evasiveness (without running) was very good. Can't credit Froch for any effective aggression.

Supposed to do R3? Nothing happens in this clip, but Dirrell does start the running. The tap on the break is inconsequential.

Dirrell easily won the first four rounds, I gave the fifth to him also but the fifth is debatable. In the first four rounds Froch didn't land anything and Dirrell landed almost all of his punches.

I just watched this fight again last night and I see it being a little bit closer than the first time I saw it. Either way it was pretty clear cut to me that Dirrel won the fight, BUT also he didnt stand out enough to make a clear victory so I see why they robbed him. I mean if you travel all that way to fight, winning isnt enough, you got to whoop ass. He was scoring like crazy and making Froch look stupid but Froch was the aggressor and was landing a nice shot from time to time. I liked how Dirrel fought in the last couple rounds. Well, to make a long story short even with the point deduction I would have Dirrel winning by 2 rounds. Originally I had Dirrel winning by 4 with the deduction but watching the fight again and taking some aspects into consideration I think it was closer. Froch will be horribly exposed before this tourney is over, Dirrel let this one pass him by and he had everything he needed to win this fight...he shouldnt have left any doubt in anyones head..he left a tad bit too much to get a victory overseas.

 

From the first 3 I only see the 2nd as being arguable for Froch.
