I was thinking the same thing. A bit dirty, some passion between the fighters. It is a heated endeavour with both fighters seeming to recognize the urgency of the fight. This is a big stage and a win is huge for both men. I like it.
Both these guys look bad, but it's a good show. Ishe seems to have lost a step, but his timing has been as good as I've seen it. Jacobs is getting exposed by a slightly superior athlete. I can't even get into everything Jacobs is doing wrong otherwise.. Ishe is making him look like a ****ing fool at different points.
I don't think he's bought but I do think he's the worst ref who ALWAYS gets the high profile texas fights. He's the son of the head of the Texas boxing commission or whatever their admin body is, Dicky Cole. I loathe Laurence Cole and hate having to be aware of his behavior during fights almost as much as the fighters. He's incompetent but will probably continue to get the high profile fights in texas for decades due to nepotism. See WTF is with him touching the fighters gloves in a clinch?!
Close fight. I have Jacobs with an edge, but he's been revealed as far from a blue chip prospect, just as I predicted. His lack of work ethic in the gym seems to be showing. He's boxing pretty poorly.
Okay, Smith fighting dirty all night, but that was not late. Wait, yes it was. But, really borderline.
Ishe is working Jacobs, Ishe is outclassing Jacobs, Damn they stole the round from Ishe, the punch was in the air when the bell rung. 4 -4 Draw, Last round was 9 - 9
