Very true, that's something else people may have not considered enough. Not only will Pacquiao be less effective going backwards, his punches will be far less powerful. Still, I'd say there's an overwhelming possibility Pacquiao somehow lands something Hatton doesn't see or isn't expecting. We won't know until these two are actually at each other. These two pogo sticks are gonna **** each other up.

I've been around Manny a little bit and I know how fast he is and how hard he hits. I've seen him and Freddie on the pads, and it's just sickening how hard he snaps that left. It's an indelible image. As someone picking Hatton that's the only thing that concerns me, despite De La Hoya's claims that Manny doesn't crack, and all the long distance fights Pacquiao has been in, it still concerns me for some reason. I definately don't think Pacquiao can take Hatton's power. Not at all, but he's a sturdy little *******.

i dont think Hatton has ever fought someone with Pacs arsenal, agreed that fighting backwards is not his forte, but those people you mentioned that Hatton fought is far from Pac's style, they are offensive fighters but they dont throw as many combinations that Pac throws, plus they are not as accurate. Pac's offense may be as simple as a 1-2-3 punch, which can fool you as something easy to counter (which only JMM learned to crack), but this "1 dimensional" offense are coming from different angles at an incredible speed, thus Pac's successful fights. What i am more worried regarding styles is if Pac could handle Hatton's power, that is all. Pac has faced more technically skilled fighters and beat them, and i think this is due to the fact that he can take their shots. Hatton is a monster that specializes in neutralizing his opponent with bodyshots, which i think is the achilles heel of Pac's armor. If he slows Pac with these shots, then Hatton will wins this. PAC by KO

At first i was very confident that Manny would knock Hatton out but the more time it passes by the more i see either fighter knocking the other out this fight wont go to distance still voted for Pac.

Call me crazy but i've said it already!

    This ones going the distance!

Close fight with both fighters having their moments. But the edge has to go to pacman who will be able to score from the ouside. I know The hitmans a face first brawler and hes unlikely to have changed that much, and pacmans always been prepared to trade. Something tells me theres gonna be more caution from both fighters than ever seen before. There's is alot at stake here and just like in other over hyped fights of the past decade they always fail to live up to expectation!

Pacman by decision or technical decision
