This is the place where all the major HW action will go down in 2011. We'll talk about Welliver smashing somebody in Michigan in January. Then we can talk about him beating former World Title Challenger Peter Ohkello, February in NZ. Then we can talk about how Tua looks in March and whether or not he measures up to the challenge of Welliver. Then hopefully we can talk about Welliver vs Tuaman Tua and then Welliver vs A Klitschko or 2. Stay Tuned....2011 Is Gonna Be Hot! The Wrath Of Welliver Has Begun! Beating this version of Tua shouldn't get him a title shot, but it's a far-cry from what he's doing at the moment, which seems to be not a lot besides beating journeymen.
What he has done since Solis....where he was very competitive at 283 pounds is....get down to 233 pounds. Get a world class manager in Roland Jankelson, get a world class mentor/trainer in Joe "The Boss" Hipp......and whip 10 straight dudes traveling back and forth from the USA to New Zealand. And he just got back from China...where he is huge! My next video we are calling out Yao Ming!
Well folks, the 1st victim has been announced. Hector Ferreyro on the undercard of Tank Williams and Evan Fields. Will be part of the PPV. Too bad Monte Barrett turned down fighting Chauncy in favor of Charles Smith???? I guess Tua and Barrett are so intent on fighting again in 2011 that neither of them are willing for Welliver to upset the applecart and defeat them 1st. Barrett should easily get by Charles Smith. Tuaman has Demetrice King lined up for March....he might not get past that 1 tho. Mr. King can bang. Anyways, tune into the PPV. There are lots of good HW's on the card and 1 great HW in Welliver. Evander may be the headliner, but The Hillyard Hammer is there to steal the show!
That's what I said when I found out he was going to be guest hosting On The Ropes, Boxing Radio last night.........get you a listen, it's on the front page. :thumbsup
