Good fight. Lawrence has got some crazy kicks and he might just overwhelm Marcello. But the thing is, with all those kicks flying around he's going to be susceptible to getting his leg caught and then taken down.

In short, I haven't a clue but will go for Lawrence.

Marcello went the Maia route :patsch Lawrence was way too fast.

Chris Tickle is a bell end. Or at least is being edited to look an even bigger clown than be is. Either way it's working, he's looking to be that guy this season.

Cruz is coming across very well IMO.

Is Vick your next door neighbor or something? He looks good hitting the pads but has landed like two punches in both of his fights. His win over Cruickshank was as "lucky" as you can get in MMA. Unless he has a lot more aggression waiting to let go, I can't see him going anywhere.

As for last night, both guys were scared of each other in the first. I still say it was a poor choice for Cruz, but he got it done. How can a guy train with great strikers like Wandy and Anderson Silva and still keep his ****ing chin straight up in the air the whole fight?

well that was ****, laurence didnt really impress for a first pick all round i know he was wary of getting taken down but a good wrestler could beat him, his stand up aint nothing special and the KO was horrible a big leaping left hook only landed cos marcello couldnt strike for ****, just proves this seasons talent is **** like i thought

Was my praise of Vick too much? I guess I may have jumped the gun on Vick but that ko over Cruickshank was a thing of beauty.

It kind of reminded me of Shogun/Chuck.

He got the job done. I was more taken by Marcello's awfulness rather than Lawrence's quality IMO. The cuffing shot that ended it proved he can generate some real power, didn't land clean and still had Marcello sparked.

Reminds me of how Roy Jones landed on Calzaghe. Makes you wonder just how damaging that shot would've been if it landed flush (R_F nice comparison with a similar punch as well, which mine isn't)

FIght was a let down. I think Marcello was getting hurt by shots before the punch that stopped him which is why he went down like that from a cuffing shot.

Tonight, Serra/Longo trained Al Iaquinta of Team Faber takes on Team Cruz's Myles Jury, who was one of the favourites on the Lesnar-JDS season but got injured.

Iaquinta beat early favourite Jon Tuck. Two pretty good guys here, any opinions?

Great fight! Had it even after 2 rounds and agreed with the decision in the end. Iaquinta just walked him down eventually. Thought jury's tactics worked well early on but iaquinta was able to time his high leg kicks and avoid the counterpunching of jury. Thought jury's conditioning let him down. Best fight so far and will take beating.

Like cruz as a coach think he is coming across well and has the respect of all his team. Wasnt impressed with faber's tactics last week so hopefully he knows what he's doing with this weeks fight picks

He's the guy that trains with McKenzie and Beerbohm right? Yeah, he should be one to watch and with his unfortunate news might well be psyched right up. The guy he's facing is the least worthy guy on there.

Let's hope Jon Tuck joins the UFC and fights the winner in his debut :tong

I think as the weeks go by the coaches will have a good idea of the match ups and what guys they've got. Fabers guy this week looked tough in the qualifiers against ye man from the north

Cruz has been making Faber look like a clown all season so far. The fights have been disappointing so far. These guys are still really green in one area or another.

This last fight was good IMO. Not top end UFC level, and neither is it meant to be. The coaching perspectives here are much more interesting IMO than some past seasons.
