I see an Action Packed fight if this fight happens, with Ortiz advantages would be Stamina, power and explosiveness... but his downfall would be the ability to fight on the backfoot where Canelo will be pushing him to... Mayweather and Peterson saw that and there gamplan was focused on pushing him Back...

FIREWORKS! with a KD definitely and TKO most likely...

Will SELL incredibly well with the Mexican fan base and that right there is enough for a couple 100K...

Will see. Not signed yet, but there have been good rumors and the Mexican media have been picking up on it since like friday. So bog possibility.

If it happens nice to see Alvarez fightin someone young and in their prime, still think its a bit early for Alvarez to fight Ortiz because his of his dodgy defense and low workrate, should bring out the best in both of them tho

They should stop lying to everybody at 154 about those "eliminators fights" to fight Alvarez.
Just make it simple; Canelo will defend his belt only against welters or fighters above 40 yrs old.
Saying this, I'll add; Canelo beats Ortiz in 8-9 rds
( don't get mad Doc, I'll enjoy the fight- but won't buy it)

Alvarez by mid-rounds TKO. I expect Ortiz to come out fast and possibly stun or drop Canelo early on, but I see him wilting later when Canelo's hard, accurate punches start adding up on the glass-hearted, glass-chinned Ortiz. Ortiz has never been too hard to hit, either, and Canelo could end up having a field day countering Ortiz's wild hooks with his straight right from the high guard.

Cool its all good I was pissed when dlh. Gave canelo a belt I knew it would create haters and rush his career... its all about money hope you understand .... in time canelo will take out all the top rank contenders ...but I have a feeling will get cotto/mayweather/trout before the Lara's and vanes and molinas of the154 division the Guy's that reward the win with their high risk .

    Canelo by 5/6 TKO.

I'm not sure if this fight is too early for him. I think he should get experience with the punchers before he turns to the really slick fighters. I'm seeing a fight down the line with Cotto. If he gets an impressive win here, and wins one after it, I think they'll put him in there with him.

Andre Berto minus the roids could be a good one too.

The thing about Vic is hes pretty unpredictable. He still is an exciting fighter, has heart, he proved that to the nonbelievers who doubted him, now needs a brain. I think Canelo only getting better. He'll hurt and stagger Vic several times, but refrain from getting caught himself. He'll leave Vic looking a bloody, puffy face. Canelo gets too confident tho or trades by standing in front too much that crazy loony of Vic can bring Miklo down from his pedestal real quick. Vic is a dangerous fight for any 147-154lber.

Canelo by UD or late stoppage. Canelo is definitely on his way to becoming the next #1 P4P.

Great fight, Canelo by late stoppage in a epic war.
