C'mon man, a garage can't hold the dozens of people interested in Briggs' career. I think we can all agree that a basement would be a more appropriate venue for such an event:thumbsup.

Some are saying they would like to see Wladimir Klitschko take up Shannon Briggs challenge and give him a title shot in 2015.

I say no, Briggs needs to beat a legit contender first. Even Leapai, while he wasn't a very good challenger, defeated Denis Boytsov to earn his shot. Briggs is fighting low-level clubfighters like Richard Carmack, who had lost six in a row.

    What do you think?

I say hell no. Other than a free payday there is nothing to gain. He isnt a mandatory and does nothing to boost wlads overall legacy, which at this point of his career should be his main concern. Far to many young prospects with cherries to bust to be wasting everyones time with Briggs

    Of course not.

if he does, I will stalk Wlad too and start beating up a couple of overweight cooks and cable repairmen.
Why you duckin' me champ?! fight a real man! :ibutt

I should give this some thought. I'd take a quick asskicking for a payday and free trip to Germany

By beating a contender? He could beat a few contenders that acually mean something then when there might an discussion.

To propose that a fight between Wladimir and Shannon should take place resting on the fact that he ate his food is beyond ridiculous, it's borderline ******ed.

    He fought Mormek didn't he?

Fighting Briggs is the same as fighting Mormek.

Who did Pianeta beat. Who did Wach beat?

A Briggs fight would not be out of the ordinary for Wlad.

I big HELL NO! Briggs is shot to ****. Vitali ruined what was left of Briggs, can you imagine what a bigger hitting Wlad would do to him?

How Briggs has gotten so highly ranked by the WBA is a total mystery. He at the very least needs to beat Chagaev to earn the shitty regular WBA title to earn a mandatory shot. As a voluntary shot it would rank as an even worse fight than Leapai of Mormeck.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if this fight was made. Briggs has done a lot to build the fight by stalking Wlad and he always seems to know where he is. Someone is clearly letting him know where Wlad will be and any normal person would have gotten a restraining order against Briggs by now.

The way Briggs has mysteriously entered the WBA rankings by beating unknown journeymen all points towards an effort to make Wlad/Briggs more palatable fight for the public to swallow.

    Ive seen it happen before.

Suddenly , out of nowhere , Boystov goes straight to the top of the WBO rankings even though he had pulled out of fights with WBO top 10 ranked Chisora and Fury.

Somebody , somewhere set him up with no name Leapai to get a 'mando' with Wlad:oops:

Briggs would give him another defence and Wlad has no shame so its highly likely it could happen.

No - ******ed though Briggs antics have been they have provided some light amusement, but to actually give someone a title shot and potential $multi mil payday simply on the grounds of being able to act like a juvenile doesn't really wash for me.

As others have said, if Shannon wants his shot he's gonna have to earn it in the ring. If he could do that though, then hell yeah - why not? At least the build up would be fun however pointless the actual fight.

It wouldn't be a multi million dollar payday unless it was a mandatory so Briggs would be guaranteed a percentage. Most voluntary defences Wlad pays about a million, unless they have a big fan base like Haye did and with Briggs having no fans he'd be lucky to get a million or even close to it.

Wlad is in the same boat these days as Triple G. The best contenders at heavyweight don't want to fight him. They don't seem even to want to fight each other. Why not fight a guy who actually wants to fight and has a big name and was a former champion? Fighting Briggs brings fan excitement especially the pre-fight buildup. Wlad gets another victory and payday and waits for a real contender to finally get enough backbone to step up and fight him.
