There is absolutely no need to have this match.and Briggs wants only the money.yes,it's good to see trash talker getting beaten.but only when the reasons are correct.

Usually there should be bad blood,Briggs only had blood with his bank account.

WWE type of matchup this is,Wlad should defend the title against some credible opponent.this is excatly one of the reasons what is wrong with boxing.we support these circus acts/fights.

Prove yourself in the ring, not in the mic.

This is not Idol, this is pro boxing.what should be a sport.not circus.

Fighting Briggs would only send another message to boxers, you don't need to prove yourself in the ring.just act like total jerk outside of the ring/try to gain publicity,be a hollywood star and you earn title shot and big bucks.

Has the HBO broadcast mentioned or even tried to gauge interest in Briggs? I hope this isn't coming from them, given that Briggs is American.

It will require a reality show leading up to the fight.

If Briggs is actually coming to fight and not just roll over, it could be good. He has a solid chin (dont know how much of that is intact) he's in apparently good shape, and has vast experience.

Yeah it would be better if he proved himself vs bonafide top 10, but who's gonna fight him? I wouldnt let my top10 fighter who's trying to work toward a shot near him, highly unpredictable and difficult to gauge how good he still is.

I say if Wlad is struggling to find someone, bring on THE CHAMP, would be fun while it lasts and then we don't have to hear brigg's chants anymore either.

    briggs vs wlad
    1) would have no problem drawing viewership
    2) would have no problem drawing crowds
    3) draws casual attention to boxing

Also the reason why I'm saying this is look at the heavyweight division, outside a few names that are most likely tied up.. it stinks...briggs have next to no chance of beating wlad but the rest of em dont exactly have great odds either! IE. you cant sell the fight by saying "ooh this guy is going to give wlad a reaal challenge.. yeah right buddy"... why not go the other way to a pure (hopefully) entertainment value fight

Cunningham is far more deserving of a shot, IMO. One more quality win for Steve and it'll be really difficult for Wlad to justify choosing Briggs as his non-mando opponent.

We saw what a hard time USS had vs Fury's clinch..what do you think is going to happen vs wlad? naaaah. Not to mention Cunningham has been getting sparked heavily the last couple of years aloot of HARD knockdowns, I fear for his health..

Too many people wanting to believe this is true when it isn't. Unless I see a link to an article or video I can't take this seriously.

I would love it if it was true nothing more fun that ripping into some Klittards but everything I have read says Briggs is not on Wlad's radar.

Oh there's no question that Cunningham would struggle with Wlad. I'm just saying that he deserves the shot over Briggs, specifically.

then he should be retiring soon, should wlad.

but briggs looks way past sell by date, and I think you know it too.
