Briggs shouldn't be fighting anymore, he is pretty old and already got a very hard 12 round beating, adding Waldo's punches on top of that might seriously damage him, he should be protected from himself.

Doctors should not allow this fight to happen.

    :lol::lol::patsch

Cunningham? He should fight Mansour. Mansour knocked Cunningham out. Cunningham got dropped last fight by Leapais fat brother, he has no business in the ring with Wlad.

It would be a farce. I hope HBO will veto this but then again Briggs is American so maybye HBO are even the ones pushing this joke of a matchup.

It tells a lot about Klitschko, if this fight happens.

Briggs hasn't beaten a top50 guy for years and is desperatley running his mouth, while others, who clearly deserve a shot (more than him), have to wait for years? Really?

Just the fact that they even consider a Briggs bout is a good indicator of what is wrong with the current boxing scene.

What tells this about Klitschko? He fought the #1 contender and destroyed him. Briggs has a punchers chance and that makes him one of the logical options.

Sounds like something HBO would love to sell.

Sadly you are right. HBO is not a charity company and cares money and money only. It is on klitschko hands and klits hands only if this fight comes true.:-(

As funny a fight as that would be, it shouldn't happen. Briggs looking for a payday and will probably go down and stay down from the first big combination regardless if he can get back up or not. It will be embarrassing to Klitschko and the sport

But they've known all along that it was going to happen. Casuals still can't see the farce for what it was. :bart

Sums up this era that they can't completely rule him out.

It's actually a smart play to "not" rule Briggs out. Briggs has drummed up a lot of attention for Wladimir that he doesn't get in America. Keep the fishhook in Briggs mouth and keep the circus going. Doesn't mean you fight him.

You think Briggs has the money to waste chasing Wlad around and jumping on planes to Hamburg? The whole thing has been funded by K2 setting Briggs up as Wlads next opponent

Wlad wants no part of Chisora or Fury. He'll fight Briggs or Jennings

No he didn't. Pulev isn't even top ten H2H and one of the biggest hypejobs of recent times

No, it's K2 pushing it, not HBO.

Vitali REALLY wanted to beat Briggs by KO and was pissed off that he couldn't send him to the floor. The brothers tend to view their wins/resume as each other's in an almost literal sense. "They" want to get a KO over Briggs... plus as promoters, they see him as a fight that will draw the attention of US fans.

That's partly why you see Briggs out there trying to "sell himself" as an opponent. He's on record stating that he has no promoter or manager (see the recent radio interview he just did in Germany). The only rich financier with a vested interest in promoting a Klitschko-briggs fight is K2 Promotions.
