Vitali is primarily an arm puncher. He never puts everything into one shot.

Lewis lost the first two rounds against Briggs and came close to being knocked out.

People trying to actually pass BRIGGS off as a credible opponent in this complete farce are simply fanatics.

The fight is obviously going to happen. K2 has too much invested in Briggs for it not to. They made a mockery of the sport in an attempt to justify something that they knew most fans would give them a great deal of criticism for.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the excuse is or how they make it "mandatory" that Briggs gets a shot without:

    A. coming anywhere close to earning it (his recent "jump" in the rankings was clearly influenced by either a promoter or money)

    and

    B. being absolutely finished as a pro fighter capable of going even 4 rounds prior to gassing

    Let's ****in' go champ.

Yes, and that Briggs was light years more capable than even today's version -- if that's possible to fathom. He's deteriorated from the guy who lost to Darroll Wilson by TKO 3, gassed out/shied away from Jameel McCline, and couldn't move versus Sultan Ibragimov. He's fought complete bums since being beaten nearly to death by Vitali just over 4 years ago.

The guy should be required to beat two top 10 opponents first.

Briggs didn't earn ANY of his title shots.

1st one: got a gift over Foreman, then got the shot against Lennox. Before Foreman, he had fought nobodies.

2nd one: Beat C class fighters ****y Ryan and Chris Koval for his shot at Liakhovich

3rd one: Beat cruiserweight Rob Calloway at the end of his career to get a shot at Vitali.

And now he is trying to simple talk his way into another title fight...

    Klitschko-Briggs a possibility

Heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko may face nemesis Shannon Briggs in his next fight. “I want what the fans want, also Briggs,” stated Klitschko. In a poll by German media giant BILD, 72% of respondents stated they want to see Klitschko face Briggs and Wlad’s manager Bernd Bönte told RTL that Klitschko-Briggs “isn’t entirely excluded.”
The 42-year-old Briggs, who is currently rated WBA #7, has been stalking the Klitschko around the globe, twice confronting him in the gym, at press conferences, at a restaurant and even on the open sea, generating millions of views on YouTube in the process. Last week in Germany Briggs disrupted Wladimir’s press training, but was prevented by security from direct contact with the champ.

if this happens I'd be inclined to think all Briggs is noise lately has all been staged to set this fight up. Another easy defense to pad Wlads record and inch closer to the record he's now chasing.......

Wlad is 38, no way all hes defence be with top fighter. He can make
voluntary( not sure if that is the word) defence with Briggs.
But i read this match will only happen if Wlad - Jennings not understand.

    Yup. I'm afraid so.

I hope this garbage doesn't happen.

It rewards Briggs' antics as well and that is no worthy precedent to set.

When I would beg to see a Chagaev rematch over this fight, then you know it really sucks and is utterly undeserving even when factoring in the at-times-funny stalker videos which I have regrettably watched.

Wow, I didn't know anybody out there supported the fight and thinks Briggs would win.

    Revealing text, Robney...
