Briggs promotes himself and does it great, he does not deserve number 7 spot.
No one else is Giving the Klitschko's much competition when they fight, so it doesn't bother me. Wilder is biggest disappointment so far, he should have had shot by now.

Of Louis' 25 defenses, 6 of them were against Hall of Famers and he holds 11 victories over Hall of Famers. Each of his three defeats were against Hall of Famers... Those are facts.

How many future Hall of Famers has Wladimir beaten?

They are not comparable. Louis is leagues ahead.

Of the guys that Louis beat that are in the HOF...
Schmeling, Sharkey, Conn, Walcott, Baer, Braddock, JH Lewis, Bivins

None of them would be contenders in the HW division now.
In between he was also defending his title against many horrid sub cruiser bums like Tony Musto(37-30).

His average opponent had 10 losses. His best opponents had 7 and 11 losses when he fought them.

LOL never thought about it this way but you are 100% right
Also out of the two Briggs HAS to be more deserving than Wilder, purely based on Briggs' historic achievements hehe

Do we really need anymore proof that sanctioning bodies are a joke?

Not just the WBA...all of them

Somebody (a promoter) showed them the money and paid to get Briggs a top ten ranking.

The sad thing is that the "Someone" who invested the money in Briggs could have done so muche more intelligent things with that money, maybe burning the money directly would make more sense :good

I really hope the people who were ****ting on Pulev as an opponent **** on Briggs as an opponent as well.
At least Pulev fought for his shot at the title.

I don't get why people were ****ting on Pulev, he earned his mandatory position and he beat some decent guys like Thompson. Sure he was never going to beat Wlad but quite frankly who can?

Briggs would be Wlad's worst defence to date if it happens. Mormeck had beaten Ibraghimov and Oquendo who are both miles better than the fighters Briggs has been beating up. Pianeta and Wach were both prime and undefeated. Pianeta had beaten an old McCall and Botha who then were probably just as good as Briggs is now and Leapai was a mandatory who at least beat Boystov.

Them guys at the WBA are brilliant, just brilliant.

They see guys nobody thinks they're worth anything in the division and prove them wrong when some of them become beltholders and others often multiple title challengers.

Again, in a joke division this isn't surprising. Remember when Haye was ranked for talking trash even though he was still a Cruiserweight?
