The ABC orgs have created a mess, but the fans allow them to by being accepting and interested in thes kinds of fights. I mean come on, 73% of german fans polled want this fight, did i just read that? That is pathetic. Why wouldnt the orgs keep pushing **** if fools are going to buy it?

Unfortunately, the sanctioning bodies are after sanctioning fees. The bigger the purse of the fight the more money the ABC *******s make :(

Oh dear. Surely HBO will have a say about that, with the 3 fight deal and all.

Although it would be a bit of a joke, i'm fine with a guy taking a soft one after he takes his #1 contender. I think that's okay.

Yes, but there can only be big purses with big demands for fights. Boxing has turned into professional wrestling and the fans are just as much to blame allowing fights like these to happen. :-(

Wlad's earned an easy payday. In his last three fights he took on the two best challengers in Povetkin and Pulev. I'd rather see him defend against Jennings but interest in the Brigg's fight is much higher due to Shannon's showmanship.

Wlad has beaten many top ten level opponents. If he wants quick cash and a KO on HBO network, why not give Briggs his chance while he waits for the other results?

In time, Wlad will fight the winner of Fury vs Chisora.

A promoter must have paid for his ranking
the fight is probably already in the works

Briggs has done a lot to promote the fight already with his WWE tactics, and lots of Wlad's fans want to see the match just to watch the disrespectful stalking clown getting his comeuppance

it makes sense for a voluntary defense money wise. what do you think would make more $$$. Briggs or a Pianeta rematch?

Well, I agree but this is not just about Klitschko. It's about Briggs, who is on his way to get a title shot without even trying to earn it (he's likely backed by the German TV).

Let's not forget how David Haye managed to talk himself into a 50-50 deal. Briggs is on his way to do an even worse thing (he is even rated by the WBA, which just once again reveals the unlimited level of corruption in boxing).

Yes, Klitschko may take this easy fight for good money. Maybe it's deserved. But if just being a clown is enough to secure a title shot, then something is really wrong.

Just look at some honorable boxers like Povetkin working hard and taking risks to get back into the title mix and put it to perspective.

I would much rather see Huck knocked out than Briggs. But whatever, both are ****.

This easy fight ****... give me a break. Plenty of 'easy fights' out there without disrespecting the sport.

Non issue though. Wlad wont fight briggs.
