In a stay busy fight that gets him payed. Then he would fight a year from now the winner of Fury/Chisora.

Stiverne/ Wilder or Chisora/ Fury are the only big fights at the moment that Wlad can take. A voluntary fight against Briggs before fighting one of the above fighters is fine with me.

Stiverne/Wilder winner can only be made if the winner feels like they would make a lot of money in a unification bout with Wlad. King or Haymon wont put their fighter in with Wlad if they don't think its worth it, and its not a mandatory fight anyway.

Voted no but Briggs isn't a bum he's just a bit to old and hasn't really fought anybody to earn a shot

He's a bum now because of his age and the level of his recent opposition.

According to this article he said he wants the fight the fans want and according to media giant Bild 72% of the German fans want Briggs. Bernd Boente also said that Briggs is a possibility.

Lets hope you're right and it doesn't get made.

No. Briggs is no bum, but stalking shouldn't be rewarded with a titleshot.

Can you imagine what will happen if Wlad does fight him? The fallout from the haters would be immense. And you probably get a horde of hasbeens and never were's that think they can get a payday that way.

    Fres Oquendo: "Let's go champ!"
    Unretired Holyfield: "Let's go champ!"
    Kali Meehan: "Let's go champ!"
    James Toney: "Lepurrs fo churrrp!"

No it's a pointless defence. Nothing wrong with having a voluntary but this isn't scr.aping the barrel it's digging 6 feet under the barrel and sticking a corpse in the ring.

Leapai, Wach, Mormeck and Pianeta are all better opponents than Briggs now. There are far better options available than some 42 year old shot Briggs who hasn't won a meaningful fight in 8 years.

fight him for free, give all the proceeds to charity. if briggs, who dont deserve the shot, thinks he can beat him, hell take it and set himself up for big paydays. if not, fvck him, let him get a real job.

Briggs more entertaining than his last few fights plus he's earned the right to take an easy match. He's been facing his supposed "next in line" by the sanction for a good while now.

But it's a fight, we won't get 12 rounds of Briggs screaming "Lets go champ" or him sitting in Wlad's corner drinking his water and spitting into his bucket saying "what you drink, I drink" or following Wlad home after the fight screaming "Where you go, I go champ".

It would be an actual fight against a guy who was shot to hell 4 years ago when Vitali beat him. While I enjoyed Vitali beating him up for 12 rounds, Wlad could seriously hurt him and I mean permanently.
