Nothing wrong with a stay busy defence, but this isn't it. Wlad only fights twice per year which means a fight with Briggs isn't a stay busy fight it's one of only 2 chances fans will get to see him next year. With Wlad only fighting twice per year fans expect each fight to be of a good standard. Fighting 1 mandatory and then a guy outside the top 50 is not acceptable.

When Ali fought Wepner he fought 4 times that year so that was a stay busy fight as he also fought Frazier, Lyle and Bugner that year.

Wepner is also a way better opponent than Briggs is now. He was 6 years younger than Briggs is now. He hadn't been retired for 3 and a half years like Briggs, he was on an 8 fight winning streak over 3 years which included a decent win over former champion Ernie Terrell.

Stop flaming Wladimir. He want to fight Jenings, but i do think Jenings will try to avoid this match and hes people say he want shot at WBC title.
So what can Klitschko do if Jenings dont want to fight him ?
Briggs is american and there will be huge interest in this fight, and a lot of money, and Klitschko will give a lesson to this guy.
I dont want this fight to happen, but it is very likely to happen.

Can't blame wlad for jennings apparently avoiding him, but imo can blame wlad or his management for taking a fight vs a clown, briggs doesnt deserve a shot - period. If it can't be jennings wlad needs to view other options, like huck, a pulev rematch, chisora fury winner, whatever of these match ups would be better than briggs, imo.

Chisora/Fury will be mandatory defence. Wlad say he will make voluntary defence next.
And with what Pulev deserve a rematch ?

Since you said "deserve", what has briggs done to deserve a match vs wlad other than putting up some freakish clown acts.
Not saying Pulev really "deserves" a rematch but he d be a much better opponent. We re discussing what match we d like to see.

Ali gets a pass for beating Frazier, Liston, Norton and Foreman.

Come back to me when Wlad beats the most feared and avoided bogeyman in boxing and goes toe to toe in 15 rounds wars.:patsch

Dragging hero's of boxing through the mud because you can't defend the Klitschko in any other way:-(

Wlads fought the best of his era, that's all he can really do unless you have a time machine handy.... It's time boxing fans start judging past greats the same way they do the Klitschkos, almost every HW great had a few bad fights on their resume and that's a fact.

Not dragging anyone into the mud.... Just making a point. :good

According to you, the most feared and avoided man (Pulev) was just defeated by Klitschko, in a fight you said would never be signed :rofl

Now you want to fault Wlad for fights only being 12 rounds??? Keep reaching Brittard. David Haye wouldn't be able to run for 15 rounds, and that lumbering oaf Fury sure as hell couldn't go 15 either.

Fury fought at a very high workrate over 12 very early in his career.

When Wlad tried it halfway through his career , he was pasted all over the canvas after only 5 rounds. haha

Fury has the best engine in the division.

So Wlad beat the hell out of Pulev, Haye, Povetkin and guess what he do that when he was 35+ years old, so KTFO !!!
The past legend going to get destroyed by most of today fighter. Tyson say it, People dont want to admit it, but athlete dont get worst, they get BETTER !!!
Today there is 250 pounds guys, and 1 punch is enough to end all. Fighters a lot better tactical prepared as well.
And for the last Wlad prove himself as the best, and he fight who he want and the only thing you can do is go cry to your momma !!!
