Perez have opponent and its not an option. Tarver you serious ? Klitschko cant fight him. As far as i know, the guy he choice should be a top 10 ranking. Arreola is not as well. Joseph Parker, Browne, rly?? No one knows about this guys. Scott who the f*** is this one ?
Takam is coming after lose, Wlad won`t fight him. Wlad cant make such a big fight with Povetkin for so short time, as well as Povetkin say he want the WBC title, not Wlad ones.
Anyway Klitschko will beat all this guy with ease, the problem is there is sponsors, TV that look and how much interest will have in this people, get it ?
Of course Briggs is walking dead man, but a lot of people want to see that match and see how Wlad beat the living s*** out of him !!!
I want to see Klitschko vs Jennings, but Jennings today is talking about Stiverne/Wilder winner and what good choices he have.

If it's OK for Wlad to fight Briggs which won't happen, why is Tarver so bad? He beat Beck who is far better than anyone Briggs has beaten since coming back. Tarver is ranked 5th by IBO and 7th by Boxrec and even if he isn't ranked by a sanctioning body you've already said plenty of fighters have done nothing to get a top 10 ranking so a top 10 ranking means nothing.

Some of the guys I've named may only be unproven prospects or coming off a loss or tarnished like Scott but they would all be favoured to batter Briggs. Briggs last opponent is ranked 281 by Boxrec, this is the level Briggs is at, at this stage of his career. Does simply fighting bums for a year and acting like the neighbourhood crazy, old homeless man really earn a title shot over countless other heavies that are actually taking their career seriously?

Even if Jennings does not fight Wlad it doesn't mean anyone should be happy to see Wlad fight Briggs, it's a joke of a fight. Nobody is calling for Wlad to fight Botha who's another old, shot heavy from the late 90's who had a title and drew with Briggs when they fought. Only difference between Botha and Briggs is Briggs is fighting bums, is stalking Wlad and is on a diet of roids instead of happy meals like Botha.

Only people who want this fight are not boxing fans. Even you don't think this is a good or half decent fight and this is just an execution, on that we agree, difference is you think it's OK for the heavyweight title to be dragged through the mud. Like I said before this fight isn't going to happen, Wlad is too classy a champion to do such a thing, while he has had some poor defences like many champions before him, there are limits and even he knows this would be a freak show of a fight.

Who is Peres opponent? ? Have not heard anything about this and can't wait to see him fight again...

I think the Jenning fight will go through as if Jennings don't fight Wlad now then he won't ever get the chance in my opinion. If it falls through then he'll likely face another top ten heavy and I think he loses to most,he should make up his mind now and grab a pay day as he'll make considerably less fighting someone else.

On Briggs I think it's a funny alternative and reminds me of the Haye fiasco! I actually think Briggs would make more of a fight of it and not run around for 12 rounds like Hayes did.

Im not ok with this match and i never say i will like to see it happen. But Wlad not have many options. Thats what im trying to tell you. And interest and money is always first. Also there is not so much time.
Also Tarver is not 5th by IBO, he is not in the top 15 .... He is 13 in the WBA ranking.
You didnt read what i write. As far as i know Klitschko cant fight a guy who is ranked above top 10. He could only fight top 10 guys, no matter what they are real status are and how bad they are.
Marty, Peres will be fighting against the veteran Darnell Wilson on february 4.

you are trying to tell us, not successfully, that this is the first time in history that a hw world champion will be justified in facing an unranked 40something.

The sad truth is Briggs is sellable in Germany because his antics were all over German media. Reports said 75% of Germans were interested in seeing Wlad punish Briggs inside the ring. You know RTL would make a huge spectacle of it.

The sad truth is this would be a German rerun of Haye vs. Audley. Complete farce but he economics work :(

German boxing audience is dumb. They have knowledge of the sport.

It hardly makes a difference to them whether Wlad would fight Jason Gavern or Stiverne.

Don King has just stated that if Stiverne wins tonight Jennings will not be next. RNS really messing with the man's future. They better hope Wilder wins tonight.

I did read what you wrote I know you don't want this fight either, I said it in my previous post the difference is you think Wlad has no options or that it's OK for THE heavyweight champion to fight anyone as long as the opponent is well marketed no matter how awful he is.

Here are the IBO rankings Tarver is clearly 5th between Glazkov and Jennings and it doesn't matter where he is ranked he's still more deserving than Briggs.

    http://www.iboboxing.com/rankings/heavy.html

These are the fighters currently ranked in the top 10 by the WBA,IBF and WBO.

Povetkin, Ortiz, Jennings, Fury, Glazkov, Browne, De Mori, Oquendo, Kaufman, Parker, Cunningham, Pulev, Martin, Price, Ruiz and Chisora.

The WBA also recognize the ratings of other organisations they recognise as viable opponents for a defending champion so we can also add Perez, Wilder, Stiverne and Joshua.

Wlad could seriously not make a voluntary defence against any of these 20 other more deserving heavyweights? Now some like Wilder and Stiverne are clearly tied up but of the other 18 could be potential opponents, most of them are not deserving of a shot but most of them are more deserving than Briggs.

If Wlad offered Perez a fight and undoubtedly the biggest payday of his career do you really think he would not even at least consider dropping the Wilson fight? You are simply willing to give Wlad too much leeway. Wlad could fight my nan and you'd probably give reasons why it's acceptable, not desirable but acceptable.

Even Wlad knows the fight is a joke and has on more than one occasion dismissed any possible fight. Personally I think Wlad is trolling Briggs, giving him just enough hope for him to make a fool of himself in chasing an impossible fight.
