I don't think Tarver would be a tough fight at all for Wlad, he's always been too immobile and is too content to just sit back and counter. That would suit Wlad but he'd still be a far tougher test than Briggs who these days is wide open, slower than molasses and totally uncoordinated.

If he does take the Briggs fight, I hope Briggs knocks him out cold. That would be a hilarious cherry pick gone way way way way wrong.

    This could be true.
K2 were going to have Wlad fight in NY three years ago and because Bounter wanted everything his own way , they were told to stay back in Germany.

They are likely pulling the same tricks now with Jennings.

Without the help of Boentes bankrolled bandits Wlad would have been knocked cold many times. Once a neutral referee forces Wlad to abandon his illegal tactics he is incredibly vulnerable.

though to be fair he can hit hard too so if his illegal tactics were ruled out, he would become more dangerous to, having no choice but to engage.

obviously its not good for him to fight anyone above the level of 37 year old retired neverman, else he may get destroyed in seconds.

however, there s very little above that level at present. theres literally, very little for him to duck.

Tarver has no backing from HBO. Jennings does.

And how is Wlad ducking Jennings. Jennigs has a contract, he needs to sign on the dotted line. If he doesn't want to sign how is Wlad ducking him you imbecile? :rofl:rofl:rofl

Wlad has completely swept the division. He is ruling with an iron fist. There is no competition. Anyone who fights will have the same odds, slim and none

I don't think Wlad is afraid of Jennings, but by that same token I think he somewhat has a quota for "tough" fights at this point in his career. Jennings would at least try to dog Wlad out on the inside, and even though he's not a puncher I don't think Wlad feels like dealing with that after the Pulev fight. He gets the easy tune-up against Briggs and fights Jennings later.

Briggs should not be getting this fight, he should be at the end of the line because he chose the path of least resistance and fought a few scrubs instead of climbing the ladder. Briggs is giving bad example. You dont have to fight any of the top 10, its enough to following around the champ, harrass him and you can get a fight this way.

You can have Stiverne and Wilder fight for the belt even though they havent got any names on their resumes and I am fine with that but Wladimir Klitschko is a living legend and the heavyweight champion of the world. He should be fighting the best available contender there is and if this contender is unavailable, hurt, afraid he should fight the #2 contender. Briggs is not even top 10 contender.

People are really clutching for those straws too hard, Briggs fight is disgraceful but is he actually *ducking* anyone? No, of course not.

I agree giving Briggs a payday is just setting another bad precedent for the HW division. Not the loudmouths should be offered paydays but capable fighters who earn their shots. Now Jennings was offered a fight but his handlers don't want to put him in the ring with Wlad which is awful management.

Jennings-Wlad was almost done deal but then Jennings' promoters decided to wait for Wilder-Stiverne. If I were Klitschko I would be furious.

I think the Briggs fight is personal for Wladimir. Briggs has annoyed him more than David haye did. Making Wladimir fall into the water was humiliating.

Stiverne/Wilder, Glazkov/Cunningham, Fury, Jennings, Perez, Takam plus even Povetkin II, Pulev II, and a whole slew of Cruiserweights moving up would be much better fights than one against Briggs. Hell so would Price, Thompson III, Solis, and a few others too.
