and Lennox Lewis got KO'd by B/C level fighters like Rahman and McCall- he couldnt even beat them? Tell you what though I would put LL up against HW from history and he would probably beat them, including Ali.

Foreman beat Moorer, who was a world champ, when he was nearly 50

Briggs had a torn bicep in his fight against Vitali and never got put down. Granted he got his arse kicked, but how many people have stood up to Vitali over the years, even when they were 100%? Not many

He could well win a belt this time round, but how he is compared to when he was coming through is completely different. He can look ponderous and lazy, he certainly never looked ponderous when he was coming through

What sucks is he lost a lot of hand speed which he used to have. He has to rely on the power but he's in good shape. His next fight is a guy that hasn't been put to sleep much so we'll see him get in a few long rounds I imagine. Yes he is a tomato can but he only been down 1x it looks like.

I used to think he slowed as he bulked up, maybe the bulking up was because he slowed?

I like the Briggs of his younger days, when he was quick and lean and could still bang. Although he could probably still get in or around the top 10 nowadays

He could definitely get another title shot at this rate. He unlike some of the other aging heavyweights of his era is not shot to pieces.

No he isn't. Rahman and Danny Wiliams, those guys are completely shot. Briggs is in excellent shape.

Having a six pack doesnt mean the guy isnt shot or even in good condition.

Vitali Klitschko almost killed him 4 years ago.

Roy Jones looks in great shape too, are you saying hes not shot?

Shannon Briggs has been saying he'd KO the "punching bags" Wladimir Klitschko fights like Alexander Leapai in round one, yet he has turned down a lucrative offer to fight Leapai in Australia in October.

Briggs is a big mouth and not much else.

No, but 3 first round KO's show us he isn't shot neither. Vitali Klitschko kills everybody in the ring, yet Briggs refused to go down and took a 4 year lay-off.

And yes, Roy Jones isn't shot neither. Far past his prime, but not shot.

Briggs will fight Leapai in October, unless he get stopped somehow by Zumbano Love.

I don't think Cannon is shot, just aged of course. Correct, I agree Tom800 Rahman, Danny Williams, guys like that should be told by their trainers to never fight again it is just embarassing. I dont think Cannon is anywhere near that bad off yet.
RJJ is pretty bad too, oh and James Toney:lol::patsch

In his prime Briggs was just an average fighter that got his ass whooped by a 178 year old George Foreman. I can't see how he has improved or is still on the same level as then.

To be fair.. his last three one round stoppages were against opponents that are so worse even Wilder would be ashamed to fight them :deal

But yeah, let Briggs fight Lepai.. why not..
