You actually said he never beat one top 15 guy in 50 fights, which isnt strictly true.

Im not saying he was the greatest ever- he wasnt either asthma or too lazy. But when he was coming through in the mid 90's and before he fought Lennox, he looked very very exciting

    Probably broke.

I wish him the very best, I hope he can make his bread outside the ring, however. Best of luck Shannon.

no one on the planet thought he beat the 48 year old foreman
yes, he beat the 23-1 white wolf :happy after he was losing on every card until the final 2 seconds....
so if you still want to bring up beating a 48 year old foreman and the whitewolf, then i guess he does have at least 2 wins over top 15 guys in 58 fights.
pretty remarkable and epic i know.

"Unfortunately, the much anticipated return of Shannon “The Cannon” Briggs was scratched from the card due to medical requirements not being met by a deadline of Thursday at their monthly meeting, according to the Georgia Athletic & Entertainment Commission (GAEC)."

Would be interesting to see him face other ancient, shot fights. Botha. Williams. McCall would be the best though. Formerly immovable object against formerly irresistible force. Might pop McCall's no knockdown cherry.

The workout of WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko was disrupted Thursday morning by comebacking former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs. As Wlad was having his hands wrapped by assistant trainer Aldo Vetera, Shannon stopped by the Heavyweight Factory Gym in Hollywood, Florida. Briggs was calm and collected at first, but then he started going off on Wladimir. Shannon then ripped off his shirt and told Wladimir that he’s been fighting bums all his career and challenged Wlad to fight right then and there. As he was being held back, Briggs threw his shoe at Wlad, striking him in the chest.

LOL. The promoters certainly are heading in that direction, both in the ring and out of the ring.

 There might be fixed fights in boxing but you can still bet on them in Las Vegas. Last I looked you can't bet on a WWE match in a legit Vegas casino but maybe that's changed in the last few years but I doubt it.

I remember Shannon's interview after getting his face broken by Vitali's fists he said "George Foreman, Lennox Lewis don't hit as hard as Vitali" His words not mine. Then he went to the hospital for about a week. Hey, his latest publicity stunt has got us talking about him today
