It is nearly impossible to get sparring as a HW, for free. If you don't have money behind you pursing a career in boxing is pointless. In lower weight classes it's very different. Most boxing gyms have lots of competitive smaller fighters.

There’s no shortage of my fellow Americans who think that Briggs should get a title shot just because the guy looks like an oiled up WWE wrestler, can bench 500lbs, and can punch (I’m not trying to insult my countrymen but we aren’t exactly turning out a good ratio of critical thinkers nowadays). I agree. I would definitely lose a lot of respect for Wlad is this fight happens w/o him fighting someone relevant first.

Leapai called Briggs out. I say make him fight Leapai. It’s an interesting fight that he could win, and I would love to see it.

Watching him get pounded by Wlad just seems morbid to me, especially after what Vitali did to him.

 

Wlad is fighting Pulev next month, Briggs isn't getting a shot any time soon..... Assuming this is real, then they should just send Ustinov after Briggs, have that fight on the undercard or something. If this is scripted, then Wlad and Briggs are just ****ing around, nothing more.

 

I'm sure career sparring partner Malik Scott is available, hell he'd even pose for some pics, and even take a dive in staged fight if Shannon wanted
