Pacquaio had a lot of great career defining wins and I've seen them all since his emergence in the boxing scene. I'm not talking about his overhyped win over a relatively unknown Ledwaba. I'm not talking about his win over a burned out barrera. I'm not even talking about his wins over Morales x2, jmm, hatton, DLH, or Cotto... The fight that stands out to me the most was his fight against Margarito. Now I know controversy will always surround margaritos career, but when Margarito had beat cotto, and Pacquaio beat De la hoya it was said by Langley "can Pacquaio really beat Antonio Margarito" or something to that effect, and I remember saying " holy ****" Margarito is way too big for little Pacquaio. So when the fight was actually signed, I was in awe that Pac actually signed to fight such a controversial fighter who was so much bigger than he was. That said I was hyped to see how Pac would be able to deal with the straight foward and larger man that was margarito, but to no surprise he did what any man would have done in that situation with those advantages. You move and use your speed advantage to offset the bigger man, and it worked to a tee. Pac took some big shots to be expected, but he really proved that size doesn't matter, skills do. This to me is one of the marquee moments in boxing in the last 10 years. Kudos to Manny Pacquaio.
I was impressed with the fight with Marquez 4. OK he did get KTFO. That fight was epic. They both promised to end their rivarly and mofo! End it they did. WAR! You might say well he got KTFO. But that was two legends showing the heart of a champion. NO FEAR! he could of boxed like a biyotch like Floyd but didn't and went at him and paid the price. That was a real fight. No running, no hugging and straight up slug it out like warriors. LOL.
I love that match, because it showcases both of them so brilliantly, Margarito had redemption on his mind, and he got it in my opinion, to walk through 100's of shots on a broken orbital bone for 9 rounds is ****ing insane. And to actually manage to get to and hurt Manny to the body almost bad enough to drop him was admirable for The Tijuana Tornado, his heart is massive, and it proved to all of his fanboy's why we're such devotees of his.
You get boxers that run around the ring and you boxers that quit because of scratch on the hand. Mofo! they ain't real champions. Champions put in all on the line and that's what they did. Hats off to both..
Bit of a stretch there. But Manny is amazing. And what pain Margarito must have felt that night. Auch.
Pac is ATG no doubt. Besides the wars he had with the Mexican trio below lightweight, he had many flawless performances against: David Diaz, his first fight at lightweight. Flattened a career 140 in Hatton. Mowing down Cotto. Completely shutting out bigger man in Oscar and Clottey. That manny was phenomenal.
pac always impressed me but the whole saga with blood testing with the floyd fight way back when made me despise him and his team (though i always liked roach, i feel he is almost always on the level and gives no ****) his blind loyalty to arum cost him dearly (who do you think robbed him in the first bradley fight)
I was fairly critical if the title being at stake here. the Mosley fight and lay off took some steam off this for me I'd say it's Hatton or cotto
No hate for the guy who pumped 750 ml of illegal IV fluids into his system? Or in the past had T/E ratios of a mummy? You know that's weird, right?
i dont have any knowledge of IV use ? from what alot of people say (and they seem they often seem well educated) it is sus and weird... but the commission deemed it fine, more to the point i wanted prime for prime and theres way to much direct quotes from bob arum more then anyone that just put stupid roadblocks up preventing it to happen (and pac via proxy because of his blind loyalty to him) yet people keep trying to blame floyd and taking his "rich coward" quote out of context when its clearly him saying if pac wont take a blood test floyd sees that as enough evidence that he is hiding something and he said it aient worth risking his health to fight a fighter using PED's. legitmately arum during the prime time for a pac may showdown said something along the lines of "pac cant fight floyd because it would harm his political aspirations and career to share the ring and be associated with a woman basher like floyd what an absolute joke
Between Pac and floyd who duck who, the answer is floyd. Who's most likely use drugs between the two, see answer question 1.
