The One, The Only....Prince Naseem Hamed

How long was JMM Naz's mandatory for? I'm sure Naz would've been up for the fight but I'm reading a book which says the WBO avoided the fight at all costs because they felt it was a risk because Juanma didn't have Naz's drawing power at the time and they knew those big fees would evaporate.
Wasn't it around 2 and a half years?

 

His outlandish personality,his ring entrances,his outside the ring antics,his exciting fighting style different than anyone around,his punching power etc.

Hamed was pure entertainment as opposed to the poor imitations we have now like Broner and Floyd who are just annoying immature pieces of ****.

At the time Hamed was already the best paid featherweight in the division's history if he was around today with 24/7 the social networks etc he would be even richer and one of the biggest stars in the sport.

Damn i miss the little guy.

This is the problem with Hamed fans.Delusion and falsehoods.Chinless Augie Sanchez had been stopped and stretchered out of the ring BEFORE he fought Hamed by whom?So no,Hamed DID NOT "retire young undefeated Sanchez basically" as he had ALREADY suffered a brutal knockout before mr overrated fought him.Sanchez LATER suffered his THIRD brutal knockout and had to be stretchered out again.By hey,you're a Hamed fan and are impressed with Hamed's list of pretty good at best fighters,so rock on.But at least try to get the facts straight the next time.And btw,due to Augie's 3 brutal ko losses,the 2nd being against Hamed,he cannot get a boxing license in the state of Nevada.

 

As much as I dislike Mayweather,he has been a great fighter,something Hamed never was.And as big as an ******* as Mayweather is,nobody was a bigger dick than Hamed.Nobody.Entertaining,maybe,if outlandish,ridiculous,classless behavior followed by feasting on a bunch of pretty good fighters at best and old men is your idea of entertainment.But hey,cheers.

 

People can rewrite history but it was clear he wasn't focussed like before in his last few fights, be it mentally or training wise, it was not prime Hamed anymore by the time he fought Barrera.

Even then he would have retired anyway as by his own admission his hands couldn't take the power he could generate, he was having injections before ever fight due to the pain.

He is an ATG in my opinion, but not only that a one off in this sport.

 

Randy Shields beat Ray Leonard in the ams,too,so we know how much water that brag holds.You 2 do realize you're bragging about Hamed beating CHINLESS Augie Sanchez,don't you?.Just for the record,when May offered a catchweight fight at 128 against Hamed,mr overrated replied,"How many times do you want me to move up?"

You really really depise Prince Naseem dont you clinton? Its almost liks youve made it your lifes work to find anyone who speaks well of naseem and put them down..

I admit Naseem was a big letdown because he had ATG potential. I put him in the God gifted bracket with the likes of RJJ and Floyd etc, but unfortunately he didnt achieve anywhere near his potential and is a borderline hall of famer.
