The one thing I hate about watching a past his prime Roy Jones.

The most irritating thing about watching a past it Jones is that I have to decrease his ratings in Fight Night Round 4 every time he fights. I believe I lowered his rating from a 90 OVR to 81 thanks to Calzaghe, Green, and old man river Hopkins

 

It is frustrating to see glimpses of the old Jones but in this fight Hopkins just fouled fouled fouled completly throwing Jones off his game ..In the 3rd Tarver fight he could of won that fight had he pressed Tarver ,he was more gassed than Roy ..

But its just the sad reality of age ,no matter how good you can be in life age will eventually slow you down ..

Im glad though I had the luxary of seeing him perform in his prime ..These type of fighters only come around once .

 

Agree totally. I was begging for him to do his signature lead hook move because B-Hop's hand was down.

Its like when Roach said he knew DLH was done after the Forbes fight because he couldn't pull the trigger. RJ has lost the trigger finger.

 

Makes you wonder how scared people were of a prime Jones ..Its great to look good against a shot Jones ..

 

He easily beat Ruiz.

It is just normal to be disappointed watching Roy Jones Jr.' performance nowadays, but he is already out of his prime. We could do nothing but imagine and remember how he was once a bad ass in boxing. He could have knocked Bhop down with that moves we used to see in him. But that was before. The only thing that surprised me was he survived Hopkins in this fight, which I thought the latter would show one sided dominance over Jones. Much more surprising, even in losing effort, IMO RJJ showed a much class act than Hopkins the other night.

 

Jones had enough to compete with Hopkins the problem was he wasn't counting on the foul fest .And Yet Hatton was a wrestler against TYSU:think

 

**** no!round 3 suck with the parries.And the boxers are also way too slooooooow.

 

Round 4's good when you get used to it. Round 3 you could spam all day with the parries and that judge jab ****. It was annoying as hell.
