When Pavlik KO's this joke tonight, the worst part is just HOW much he is going to be overrated by less informed boxing fans and only because the less informed bunch, which makes up the majority, is thinking it's a truly 50/50 fight and assume that Taylor is truly an A+ level fighter, which is very far from the case.

Especially if Pavlik just blows him out, then he'd be hyped to an extreme level, all the while just being a solid fighter himself with not too many special attributes.

That is all. But I still cannot wait to see Taylor destroyed.:yep

Yes he was and some posters here have claimed tonight would be a 'Calzaghe-Lacy' experience in Taylor's favour. I suppose they think pressure brings out the best in Taylor, when in the two fights he fought competent pressure guys, albeit featherfisted, he could not even hold down a gameplan.

This shows the unbelievable ignorance of boxing fans. Now just watch Pavlik be placed into the top 5 P4P for disposing of some joke who never should have been given the titles to begin with.

I wont place Pavlik in my top 10 P4P if he wins, but I would consider him the number 1 middleweight in the world.

Yes, this I totally agree with. But the MW division is far too shallow at the moment, especially considering the top 4 guys are Taylor, Abraham, Miranda and Taylor, all flawed guys, for the top guy to be considered P4P quality IMO, unless he DOMINATED all of them, which in this case it will just be a singular win, possibly after some early struggle.

Wow, already discrediting a win before it even happens!

    You're hitting new lows.

Amsterdam you should take it easy. This is a tough fight for Taylor but I think he will prove in this fight that he is indeed A level.

In not even bashing Taylor, he's just simply not that great, not to the level the type of people that will overrate Pavlik after this win tonight overrated Taylor.

If you remember, they were predicting he would be an ATG. With these evident, easy to spot, glaring technical flaws?!:patsch

Like I said, the ignorance of boxing fans when they are surprised, never fails.

It makes perfect sense, the top guy in a very weak division, who has not yet beaten the 2 other top guys and WHO shows the immense amount of flaws that we have spotted in both Taylor and Pavlik, is simply not up there with boxings true elite.

Exactly. After Pavlik starches Taylor, expect people to be talking about him in the P4P ratings, when the truth is Taylor doesn't belong there off his gift decisions against Hopkins and Wright.

Taylor may be extremely overrated, but it will be wonderful to see him utterly destroyed by Pavlik nonetheless! :yep

Amsterdam you surprise me with your overall stupidness on the subject. First Spinks did not back anybody the **** up b/c he was on roller skates the whole entire fight. Second it is different for a fighter like Ouma to back somebody up b/c he literally got TOO close to JT for him to get his shots off. He was basically up in his chest which is the same Ouma does to everybody he faces. That kind of pressure effects JT. Not Pavliks kind where Pavlik needs range to get his shots off and would not smother JT with his body but throwing his slow power punches where JT will have more then enough space and with the superior hand speed and Pavlik's chin dangling around he would be a fairly easy target for any of JT punches. Even his Amateurish overhand looping right that he throws when under pressure. One thing. Pavlik would beat the **** out of a calzaghe b/c Pavlik catch Cazlaghe in one of his pattycake flurries or attempted flurries and put him on his ass.

i want pavlik to win tonight, but to call JT a joke!! Please. Could a joke of a boxer hang with Bernard Hopkins?? or Winky Wright??

oh wait those weren't wins in your book right?? History says otherwise. And JT fighting the last two fights against smaller men is no big deal to me because many of fighters take fights against smaller men at times. See Hopkins fights with ODLH and Tito.

JT for as much **** as he gets is still an A+ fighter until someone proves otherwise. To this day no one has.
