The Rebels had a 'former life' a couple of years ago - played a handful of games at Olympic Park.

...and Stewy some of us in Vic do know the difference between league and union, but we use the broad term 'rugby' to refer to them collectively. Neither of them rate too highly down here against 'real' football.

Dusted off the fight poster for the Opera House event and, yes, it was billed as:

    'WORLD WAR III'

It's there in large bold letters across the top of the poster.

...didn't Tommy (yes, the rugby LEAGUE identity Stewy) get the billing name for that card right!

Was Charkey going to DQ him for the back of head shots....one would think at least a point off for sure with a warning

However the cornerman Hall grabed the fighter from behind...instant DQ and thats why kung fu man came flying in

So question is who should have been DQ'ed first?

On another note how about Charkey Ramon's straight left at the 41 second mark...bit of a cheap shot :nono

This bout appears on the DVD "That's Boxing". Will get it out and have another look, but from memory Temelkov had already been warned and probably deducted, and Charkey was in the process of DQing him as the mayhem began.

Ask Flash about it. I think the bout in question was immediately after his, and as they'd gone 8 and bit rounds Flash was probably out watching it by then.

Great to hear Gus on the sound track too - thankfully preserved for all time on many fight clips.

Milo Temelkov in red. Flash reckons the Poms (Salsbury's mob) did a real number when crowd got into it.
