The only footage I have ever seen of Ali legitimately angry without showmanship

The only perfect man was Jesus and they naiiled him to a cross. If you look for the worst in anybody else you'll find it.

From what I read, his dad was either apathetic about the religion or, at times, hated it and thought it was strange. He wasn't too big on religion in general and seemed to be agnostic or something.

His mother was a devout Christian but seemed to respect her son's wishes. No idea what they called him in private.

I don't know what Ali thought of his father keeping the name. Perhaps he disagreed with his father but I am 99% Ali loved him like a loving son would till his dad died.

Ali's family (for the most part) respected his change. I don't know if that was immediate or if it took a bit because the one time I've seen Ali address it (in his 1975 autobiography) he didn't specify. The only thing I can remember him mentioning during the book that says otherwise is that an extended family member (I think it was his aunt) put up something that was basically saying all non-christians are going to hell. Even then, I don't remember him mentioning that their relationship took a turn for the worst after that. I'd have to find what he actually said in full to give the full context.

Ali was for decades one of the most famous men in the world. He was interviewed thousands of times starting from the age of twenty till he essentially lost the ability to verbally communicate. He never hid behind press agents, public relation firms, talent agents or promoters ... he was always out there in the line of fire ... During that time he grew and morphed like stop action photography, time and again like anyone else except everyone else was not under that sort of microscope ... he was not a saint and he was not a dimwit, racist .. he was a man who's sum total was exceptionally kind and loving , courageous and he continued to evolve way past his ability to speak publicly ... just one example are his thoughts on Malcom X ... there are many clips of him making derogatory statements about Malcom but close to his own death he stated multiple times that he wished he acted differently towards Malcom ...
