The only great thing about Arreola is his hype

His hype is great but his skills, conditioning, record and even his power are not. It´s funny how people flock behind someone who has many brutal KOs, even if they just come from brawling with tomato cans.

Arreola hasn´t beaten anyone significant. Chaz Witherspoon had never been tested and Travis Walker had aldready lost, while never facing a contender. Walker even got a KD against Arreola. Eddie Chambers has by far a better record and has at least faced two top contenders in Povetkin (who he fought well against) and Brock (who he beat).

The hype Arreola´s been getting makes me wonder what kind of hype Sultan Ibragimov or Ruslan Chagaev would have gotten, had they been Americans.

haye will win...but u know what else is great about arreola...watching him fight...all evryone does is complain how bad the HW division is and finally an exciting guy comes along and evryone wants to see him become a master boxer...which would make him boring

i think its a reaction to the hype he is recieving. some boxing fans like myself are annoyed that people are hyping him as the next big thing when he will get exposed soon.he doesn't seem to measure up, especially after watching that walker fight

but u r saying after that fight...he won that fight ...walker blew a nut in the first rd...and arreols got caught but he came back and dropped him 3 times...he is refreshing to watch...u know it will be exciting...I am fairly sure even here in the states a poll would go 80%for haye winning...no REAL UNBIASED fans feel he is the answer to hw boxing...he is like the gatti or ward to it..which is fun to watch

Who are these "people" who are hyping him? Are any American fans claiming that he'll clean out the division? If so, I haven't seen or heard it. As for the push that HBO is giving him, is it out of line for an American network to promote an American fighter for an American audience? :huh

Even compared to usual bitching and moaning about American bias, this is weak sauce.

He's a fat slob with power and a bit of skill. He's an example of how crappy the HW division is nowadays that mediocre fighters like him can become hype jobs.

What hype?? There is no hype. About 90% of posters here are rubbishing him and I havent seen him being praised in too many other internet publications. It is only literally a couple of people.
