knotty, not trying to offend u or anyone just breaking down boxing for people like u. its not my opinion. its realizm. the people who know boxing on here know too that once u clean the hype out of ur brain and look at the boxers themselves you really understand that pac CANT do it. well who can? Sergio Martinez. Its all i could come up with..
paul williams loses the same reason pac does. No jab. Not enough brains/skill. Its really laughable how people think a high workrate and angles can beat Floyd when this is the recipe to get KTFO by floyd. Amazing really.
Yea years ago.... Do we still wanna talk about u with the easter bunny.. I bet u found every eggg??? But really alot changes in ten years if you don't know u better ask somebody...
Ok Bert tell us, who and how does Floyd get beat because thus far all you've given us is "Bradley has a chance but would get beat" and ridiculing other posters without any real insight whatsoever. If your only opinion is "noone beats Floyd and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot" then you don't belong in a thread discussing who and how Floyd can be beaten, do you?
doesnt matter. pac didnt have a jab then and still doesnt. Give it up son, your boy doesnt have a jab or the ring intelligence to AVOID being koed himself let alone making the fight competitive.
I think Pacquaio has the capability to beat Mayweather. Outside of Pacquaio I think Mayweather has to move to 154 for true competition. Sure, he would be stretching his abilities a bit more, but let's face it he'll still be the favorite against anyone he faces even at 154. I don't think Mayweather is limited at all by that weight, seeing as how he practically had no body fat against DLH (a good indication of a fighter being "blown up"." Anyway, Pacquaio has the footwork, and doesn't attack in straight lines, uses both hands, and though he isn't known for a great jab he stings that left hand straight down the middle with great success. I don't think its the jab so much that troubles floyd but the straight shots as his guard is meant to deflect hooks, that's why the jab has such effect. Of course the reverse is true also, Floyd has a ****en awesome jab and a great straight right, not to mention an amazing mind to time opponents. I favor Pac in a tough close fight. It would be like Pryor/Arguello, but less violent, or hopefully just as violent. :good
I'm not sure how floyd gets beat but by now it doesnt require mr wizard to tell you that certain fundamental things are needed in order to be competitive with a fighter of floyds caliber. Once these are established you then analyze and breakdown the fighters themselves. Then conclusions are realized, some are harder to come by. Not trying to be rude. Just trying to clear the smokescreen for honest boxing fans like myself.
Fair enough, but lets take your comment about Pac as an example, you write him off as a no-hoper. I could see him circling right and whenever Mayweather fires of his fast left hook/jab Pac unloading the overhand left/roll under with some success, his punch output has to be taken into consideration too. I flip flop between the two but whatever way it goes down it won't be an easy night by any stretch of the imagination.
fair enough. the thing is pac is fairly predictable. and without a decent jab to upset Floyds rhythm pac will get owned. Ur basically saying Pac could beat Floyd one-handed. No
Sure Im with ya. But now ur asking Pac to counter Floyd...We both know Manny isnt that kind of patient fighter. The fighter that beats Floyd will have a game centered around the jab.
No, not saying that at all. Just shots that will get in, or scoring shots. Not saying that punch will dominate the fight. It'll be much tougher than that. I do agree with Nazeem about its not so much what punches you're throwing against Floyd but where your feet are. This is the main reason I favor Pac, his movement. Pac used to be predictable, but only to the elite boxers. Now every one says the same thing, they don't know where the shots are coming from. Pac is unreadable to a lot of boxers. I was saying about Pac's left that it can be thrown less frequent than a jab but with more power and maybe more success.
Jabs can only push a point, hooks cause a problem.... and at that pacman can throw off balance.. understand that!!!
He'd have some advantages over Mayweather...but from what I've seen of Martinez, he gets lazy in the middle rounds. Thats were I see Mayweather winning the fight if it were to happen.
Im sure williams would have a good shot of beating floyd but its a pity practically the whole WW division has avoided him
