i honestly think martinez does way too much that floyd can take advantage of. pavlik was just too damn slow to do anything about it but floyd could pick martinez apart. no matter how quick martinez is, he isnt quicker than floyd so holding your hands where martinez does and jumping in face first will make floyds right hand even that more effective. yeah martinez would be bigger but playing the role of the bigger man isnt something martinez is used to or does so its not like he's gonna throw a switch at this stage of his career and become a stalker who tries to overwhelm floyd.

if its another belt in another weight class floyd wants, then go for it. but $$$ wise, pac is the no brainer. and if he does win the mw title, kiss a pac fight and that 40 + million goodbye b/c roach won't put pac in with a guy who just won the mw title.

Am I the only one who thinks Cotto would have been Mayweather's toughest challenge at WW? :blood I am not talking about now of course...

You guys are sleeping hard... If you guys cant see all the makings of a classic left hand hooker beating the orthodox boxer... Floyd does everything right, but only vs the righty... Even against southpaw he's nice but he loses some of the luster and defense, but you guys know this..

Nah I thought the same for a while...I used to think Cotto would cause him all sorts of problems. But the more I seen Cotto, the more my opinion changed.

and getting the "want to" beat out of him twice doesnt help either. i'm a huge cotto fan but he needs more than he's got to give floyd problems.

Thats a shame people have to go way up to 160lb div to find someone that can whoop little Floyd.

Exactly...maybe if the outcome of those two bouts were different, I would probably still be thinking Cotto would give him hell. But after seeing what Pacquiao did to him with his speed...I can't help but think Mayweather would counter him all day.

I was talking pre Margarito...When Cotto actually put some "umph" on his punches and didn't look so lost in the ring. Now it's pointless....

i hear ya. he is a coverted southpaw so maybe that jab and hook to the body could have given floyd some troubles? would be interesting to see if it could give him trouble over 12 rounds and not just a few rounds until floyd adjusts :think of course this is all academic and we'll never know.

You couldn't dream up a bigger snooze-fest than this.

well if you had a ****ing brain you would know that Martinez is king at 154 which also happens to be where Floyd beat Oscar. Floyd fans arent happy when its someone marginally bigger. Yea lets beat another lightweight and retire. Go floyd!

nah Martinez would force floyd to fight. Floyd fought an offensive fight against Shane so who knows. I actually think Floyd is tired of running....
