In addition to possibly being demoted to third best heavyweight behind the undefeated WBC champ and the undefeated lineal heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua has just pissed away significant bargaining power while awaiting this potentially historic trilogy to complete itself.

By the time that happens, Joshua will likely be the B-side and saddle up for what will be his introduction to first tier heavyweight opposition. That is, if he decides not to duck and if his UK chin dossn't fail him.

**** Joshua and Hearn. Freeze them out. Rematch and then another chance for Ortiz. Then Joyce. We had two true fighting men in the ring tonight, Joshua doesn't deserve any attention tonight.

Not only that. I think now there will be a rematch between Wilder and Fury, so Joshua has kind of become not needed for a period of time... Now literally AJ will have to ask one of them to fight him and will get denied.:smile:

It's all very well to say that AJ is 3rd best but casuals will not see it this way, Hearn has them in his pocket and they believe anything he says. So to them he is still number 1

AJ can fight my nan and will still fill up Wembley. Wilder and Fury still live in AJ's shadow - guess who's name they could not stop talking about all through their promo and even after their fight lol

WBC is corrupt and funny mugs are now praising them after being taken for fools. The real champ and the one with most belts is AJ

    Fury won the fight.
Fury should fight Joshua next, forget Wilder.

He's fine as long as he keeps drawing all those people. He's still going to be in control. Just how it works.

Brilliant fight, and I agree with the sentiment, but even on the most biased card I can make Fury still won by two rounds. We all won, agreed with that!

In terms of putting bums on seats and getting the fighters paid, AJ is leagues ahead and its not even close. A fight with AJ for either man would be bigger than the rematch between them.

I like AJ but serves them right to be honest, I hate duckers and the "let it marinate" mentality when the fight is perfectly ready to be made. Now they suffer.

I'm thinking the opposite, AJ is looking stronger than before. A chubby and careless Fury exposed Wilder, seriously devalued his marketing potential. Wilder looked helpless and was helped by sheer luck of finding that one punch and corrupt judging.

Joshua will make money whoever he fights. The casual fanboys will just keep eating it up. Suspect a unification is further away than ever after tonight though

This is the perfect result for Joshua! Not only does he still have the opportunity to take the o's of both Wilder and Fury, but he'll also get even more credit for doing it now the stocks of both his major rivals have risen. It's been a lonely time at the top of the division for AJ, now finally there's some serious competition out there for him to beat to further increase his legacy.

At what ticket price? Also, how much is a PPV price in UK? About £25? This PPV was 65 (was it 75?) dollars. Let's wait and see how successful it was. I do not expect it to be very successful, but the fight itself was entertaining, so the next their PPV will be much more successful.

Why? Tubby Fury would have been easy work for Joshua tonight. Better to rematch Wilder and get into better condition.
