I would say if he beats cotto for the 154 WBA title hes got a 25% chance of making the fight provided he does # 4 and # 5 as well

And you think beating an unknown Jap for a vacant title will entice Mayweather to fight Mundine?

    Like I said, delusional.

    Nice thread 20a87.
I've come to the conclusion that you're not really a Mundine fan but a pimpley faced young Pommie keyboard sadist who likes seeing Aussie boxing fans running around foaming at the mouth while responding to your offbeat comedy.
You've even got Ashley thinking he's got a mate on Aussie ESB.

Terrific entertainment, Keep up the good work.

Anthony Mundine has announced the details of his next fight and says he eventually wants to take on arguably the world’s best fighter, Floyd Mayweather jnr.
Mundine revealed today he would fight Argentina's Jorge Daniel Miranda at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on June 30. The bout will be for the WBA junior middleweight international title.
It will be the first time Mundine, a former middleweight champion and super middleweight junior champion, has fought in the junior middleweight division.

But it was his call out of Mayweather, who recently dismantled Shane Mosley with a superb display of boxing, that will turn heads. Mundine admits he is small fry in the US prime time market but a refreshed attitude and time away from the ring has sharpened his ambition.
“I want to announce today, to the world, I’m dropping to 154 pounds. Some of the best fighters in the world are at that weight. Looking ahead, I want to mix it with the best in the world as far as (Antonio) Margarito, (Miguel) Cotto. My main goal and my reborn focus is to fight one man – and that man is Floyd Mayweather,” Mundine said.
“I want to be the best pound-for-pound in the world. I’m really starting to realise my potential, starting to realise what I can achieve. I want to be the best. There’s only one man that can beat Floyd and that’s me. I know that because I fight like him.
“He fought Oscar De Lay Hoya at 154 pounds. He’s going to have to fight me. The fight will have to be made. I believe he can beat Pacquiao but I don’t believe he can beat me.”
Miranda, 26, is a world ranked welterweight fighter and is stepping up to junior middleweight after 36 wins from 45 fights.
Fellow former NRL star Sonny Bill Williams will have his second professional fight on the undercard.
Williams opponent is yet to be confirmed but Auckland streetfighter Garry Gurr has again put his name forward to fight the in-demand rugby union star, who is considering a world record $2 million per season offer from Toulon and the chance to play for the All Blacks at next year's World Cup.
yeah seen an article in the Sydney Morning Herald.

will not happen for the following 3 reasons
    1. Floyd fights full time and has talent... never drives taxis
    2. Floyd generally earns in excess of 30mil US per fight.. cant earn that fighting Mundine
    3. Nobody in the US has ever heard of Mundine...

Mundine has no right at all even mentioning himself in the same sentence as Margarito, Cotto and especially Mayweather when he is having a warm up fight against...whats his name again...?? Thats right, who gives a ****.

Mundine wonders why all these superstars aren't banging down his door to fight him. Well i think he answered his own question in todays smh article, ''I was going to fight Golovkin for the middleweight crown but he had everything to gain and I had nothing to gain. It was a bad business decision for me.''

hahaha at least he's stopped saying he's coming back to the NRL anymore

"Gunner play for Saints, win them a GF, and then drop 10kgs and fight for a world title in the offseason and defend it every offseason after that"

    Anyone remember that shite

has it been proven that 20a87 is in fact in Britain or just his word it seems for someone that far away he has a hell of a lot to say about Aussie boxing and choc in particular and only the occasional one about British boxing quite strange. I am a mundine fan as well so no dramas there just stange a guy from the other side of the world doing what he does
