I don't see it like that. Acosta hurt Rios bad but to no effect. Rios kept coming and eventually broke him down.
Gamboa must keep his feet under him if he wants to win. He needs to move.

 

Agreed, you don't have to hurt your opponent in order to win, power punching is a God given talent you are born with it, Sweet Pea couldn't break an egg and in his prime nobody could touch him...

I get what your saying i really do , but Rios is getting zero credit for his ring craft and inside fighting , the man is a pure animal , and he has power to boot !!! , i do not see an argument (based on past performances of both men) where people think Gamboa is gonna dance circles round the guy and take him out !!! , Rios is a very intelligent fighter

Hey If Rios wins then fair play i'll give him credit. But anyone who knows anything about boxing will be picking the guy with the better hand and foot speed. Rios has an awful defence and will get ko'd.

 

Bum Bum's only chance is hurting Gamboa early. Lets face it we all know who the better boxer is... With that said i am not sold that Gamboa can execute a flawless gameplan for 12 rounds. He tends to let his mind wander and get caught. If that happens with Rios he will be put him to sleep. Gamboa needs to come ready mentally and put on a boxing clinic for 12 rounds and become a superstar.

As a boxing aficionado with galactic respect i have Gamboa winning a unanimous decision.

 

Mate think ur reading other posts which aint mine ... i predict Gamboa will outbox Rios over 12 rounds...i dont for one instance think Gamboa will KO Rios... in fact i believe thats the least likely outcome !

I think gamboa will carry more pop into 135 but as you rightly mention Rios has a solid chin and I cant ever see him being KO'd unless he hits WW later in his career then it maybe tested.

I just believe Gamboa is technicallly superior to Rios and this will be proved on 14th april with a comphrehensive UD over 12...

Although I am a big fan of Gamboa and find him really entertaining, he has one giant flaw: a glass jaw, and since Rios Has Pretty good power he'll KO him late.
