The only reason Errol Spence beat Brook is because of Golovkin

Honestly, I do believe the facial restructuring that Golovkin laid onto Brook did
have an effect on the Spence/Brook fight. I believe Golovkin beat most of it out
of Brook in their fight and Brook was a changed fighter. Would he have beaten
Spence if there had been no Golovkin fight? Maybe, maybe not, but we know for
certain Golovkin shortened his (Brook's) career. Spence's win shouldn't be
discounted though, he fought back hard, took it to the champ at home, and
    stopped him.

This is just plain stupidity... It was an even fight for about 6 rounds. Then Spence took over and Brook folded. Anyone who thinks Brook was dominating at any point is lying to themselves.
I actually was rooting for Brook, but Spence fought a great fight in Sheffield!

no doubt taking your 1st loss and in that brutal way would have had an affect and put miles on the clock.

I'd argue boiling down to 147, like Spence does currently, was the bigger issue.

Hopefully Spence doesn't do the same....and i don't think he will as 147 doesn't have much to offer outside of the garcia v porter winner.

I agree to alot of this.
I dont think Brook did himself any favours in going from WW to MW and being ripped and then going back to WW as well as suffering bad damage against Golovkin.
I thought Brook was beating Spence and convincingly as well.
I think a pre Golovkin Brook would have won also

If Brook thought he could beat Spence, he would have fought him, instead of stringing Spence along for a while. If you noticed, Brook had no problem facing all of those bums, before and after Porter. Had Spence been along the quality of those bums, Brook most definitely would have fought him prior to taking a Golovkin fight. Instead Brook strung him along, and then moved up for the Golovkin fight. Figuring he might as well get paid if he might possibly take an arse whoopin.
