    Money.

    Sleazy men. No guts.

They can say whatever they want but the only reason is this. They are greedy, like Fury who if he lost again to Usyk he would not retire too. As top Hws they are finished, everyone knows it. The only sincere ones are Usyk who would like to break some other records in his career because the real champions are always hungry for victories that amaze the world even if they find themselves facing Goliath. As sincere is Dubois who is young and feels he can beat even Usyk in a second fight. As sincere is Zhang who wants to prove he is on par with the world champions or Kabayel who has a tremendous hunger to climb to the top of the heavyweights and Parker who wants revenge after some fights gone badly. Joshua, Wilder and Fury can be counted among the greatest boxing frauds of all time. Even if they win some other set up fights in their career the doors of glory are definitely closed for them. And they deserved this decline because, I repeat, in the end they are nothing more than mercenaries and a disgrace for boxing.

Every fighter fights for money that's why Usyk is fighting Fury again for money and that's why he wanted to fight Joshua again for money.

Usyk fights for the glory. He told he wants to fight Dubois again and then he would want return in the cruiser to get undisputed again. Besides he fights for the glory of a whole country. Money is the second motivation not the first for sure.

It's difficult for a top heavyweight to retire on top and stay retired. The offers of more money have always been an issue.

That's why only three (Tunney, Marciano and Lewis) have done it.

I don't think anyone was under more pressure than Lennox Lewis to fight again.

Tunney didn't have any more opponents that could generate the money he wanted.

Rocky even resumed training in 1958 looking to come back, but didn't have the desire to get in shape.

Lewis had Vitali waiting for him. Lennox knew he didn't have much left. And so he walked away from big offers to rematch Klitschko. But he took crap over his decision to walk away on top for years. The others didn't.

So why did Usyk want to fight Joshua a 3rd time ? because fighting Joshua made him the most money as @Oddone just said its called "prize fighting"

Well yes that's plainly obvious but prior to that Joshua was the favourite over Dubois and Usyk more than likely was going to fight Joshua a 3rd time if Joshua had beaten Dubois.

Hence the only reason Usyk would've fought Joshua a 3rd time was because Joshua was the biggest cash cow that made him the most money.

Usyk gave up the belt originally and Joshua would've beaten an opponent who was gifted a belt from Usyk hence in the grand scheme of things Usyk beating the same opponent 3 times wouldn't of meant much.

The main motivation for fighting Joshua 3 times would've been only money.

If Usyk cared that much about staying Undisputed he wouldn't of gifted the belt to Dubois so your argument don't really work for me.

I think if a fighter is only able to beat washed up fighters gotta retire. Wilder and Joshua wont have a chance to get champions anymore. Are many fighters much better then them around.

    Pretty judgmental there bro…

Its a VERY good way to put food on the table, and I’m not gonna say I’d do differently if I was in their position….

Let me guess, you’d turn down a million dollars if it was offered to you, to compete in a fight you would likely lose?

It’s also worth noting that they also give their opponents opportunities for big pay days and exposure… for some, a bout with them would be like hitting the lotto.

Money is never not the primary motivation but within that frame there are fighters who also fight for glory and legacy more than others.
