Okay, with the current revelation that Floyd wouldn't even counter pac's offer after GBP pleaded with him to do so, floyd is looking much worse in these negotiations.

So maybe he really doesn't want to fight Pac but the only thing that I don't get is this..

IF floyd's testing demands are so outrageous, why would he subject himself to the same testing?

If he really didn't think pac was on something and just wanted a way out, why'd he put himself in a position to go through the same blood work if pac agreed?

I think the more likely answers are either

    (a) they're hyping this fight for a later date

    (b) Floyd genuinely thinks Pac is on something and is not willing to Fight the man on PED's, whether it makes boxing look like **** or not.

Thoughts? ( no meaningless bull**** or photoshops please)

Oh and let me add this: If this is really a Ploy to hype this fight for a later date then that is really disgusting. I absolutely love boxing but this ordeal has truly turned me off this sport. It's so disfuctional it's ridiculous.

If they felt it was a good idea to hype the biggest fight in decades this way then that to me is almost as bad as cancelling it altogether.

    **** 'em both.

The only thing Floyd wanted was a random blood test.

Pacquiao should have agreed to this modest request...

My thing is this, the issue should've never became a Deal Breaker.

I can see Manny not wanting to do it and Floyd really wanting it but if neither guy is agreeing then just ****ing drop it. That goes for both guys.

This is the biggest fight in boxing man if I'm floyd i just say **** it, I can beat you with your PED's(he can).

And if I'm manny I say **** it, we're both going to be subject to the same testing.

I just really have a hard time understanding why this is a deal breaker unless again, they're hyping it for a later date, Manny's being a bit of an ******* with the blood thing, or Floyd really doesn't want to fight a juiced up Pac( he should).

I don't see it as modest.

You're questioning the integrity/dignity of the other boxer by demanding him to undergo a series of tests..

Plus the fact that he has been clean all his career..

    It's sort of an insult.

If it wasn't one thing, it would be another.
Obviously, someone did not want this fight.

In my opinion, the only thing Floyd cares more than wealth is his legacy. And to him his legacy IS his perfect record. I am not going to argue what that a perfect record means. That is not the point. The point is, PBF cares about it very much.

I am not sure if Floyd actually believes Manny is on PEDs or not but he does believe that the current Manny has a more than credible chance of taking away that perfect record. Credible as in actually beating him without going to the scorecard. So PBF is as careful as he can be as this is the biggest risk he is about to take.

In his head I think he is trying to balance the perfect record and the always nagging criticism of he is a 'ducker.' I am sure he wants to prove people wrong about that label. You can hear it in his voice during the RA argument. You can clearly hear him talking from the gut and not the business side of his brain. Facing Pac means the greatest legacy he can have - a likely spot in the top 10-15 of All Time Greats. But the risk is big - no - the biggest. So PBF wanted to be as conservative as he possibly could in regards negotiation. Money did not matter this time. That is why he did not care about the 50-50 spit or the $10 mil weight penalty.

He knew that arguing about glove size, ring size and weight would be ammunition for the anti-PBF crowd. But a PED test is something he probably felt he is on the right side of the argument. I am not saying he actually believes Pac is on PED.

But he is about to put his most precious belonging in this fight- the perfect record - and he wants to make god damn sure he removes any unnecessary risks. Hell, I don't think his father or him even really understand how PED, HGH, EPO, urine, blood, half-life, cycles, etc all work. They just know it is not in his advantage.

On Pac, I honestly believe he was insulted by PBF's comments and claims. If you listen to his post Erik Morales interview you hear that there was a sincere belief that he was weakened by the blood test. Being a kid from a rural third world nation, I would not be surprised by his lack of understanding about the blood test. And that ignorance has been replaced by superstition. And often bare facts is not going to convince superstitious people. Ask Juan Manuel Marquez and his 'Gatorade' drink.

PBF's mistake is that he went public with it. He should have asked GBP to keep the PED testing a secret. I am not that cycnical to believe the testing was his Get of the Fight plan.

i agree here, but with all the media, and the leaks, it would have been hard

that being said, floyd and company could have all just "no comment" -ed when the media asked...then it would be up to team pac to do the same

ego and inability to keep mouths closed ruined this fight

The only thing that doesn't make sense to me ....... is how and when the **** did Paulie Malinaggi become a credible backup opponent for Floyd? YET AGAIN.....He is fighting someone who is NOT a legitimate WW!!

You have Arum constantly talking in Manny's ear "Floyds not your boss" etc etc. Then you have Mayweather's ego not allowing him to give into another concession (Gloves, weight penalty, purse split) which leads to a deadlock, hence what we have here.

Paulie is the less skilled version of Floyd, thus has zero chance to change that "zero" in Floyd's record.
