The only way for Dela Hoya to retain any credit - if he wins by KO?

Seems to me a decision win will hardly satisfy anyone, given the weight disparity.

Decision win for DLH = a loss for DLH if that makes sense.

But if he gives Pacman a beatdown, that might create a backlash in the boxing community and people will call him a "bully". DLH is in a no-win situation.

it will satisfy oscar though, over his last few fights its obvious that"the most beloved boxer today" does not give a flying **** about us THE FANS.I will watch the fight(at a 4 am lock in at my local pub because i would not give this greedy **** any more of my hard earned)i hope pac wins but i know oscar will win.I just feel sorry for all u folks across the pond that have to fork out a good amount of cash for this fight(i just hope you get your moneys worth)..

I believe this fight is a win/win for Pac and a lose/lose for DLH.

    Agreed

But win or lose Oscar still has enough clout in this "fight" game to establish other big fights. Although his clout would somewhat deminish because of losing to smaller guys (Mayweather and possible Pacquiao)

All DLH has to do after a defeat is fight some bum ... maybe an up and comer and all will be forgotten.

Sums it up Perfectly, I really don't know why Oscar took the fight.
Not that i don't think it could be a great fight i am very intrigued to see how it play's out but De La Hoya will not get any credit for KO or a Decision over a Super Featherweight/Lightweight.

I Really hope for Oscars sake that he didn't see this as an easy $15m, that would really be sad.

It certainly will look bad if he goes the distance with Pac

Seems to me the jig is already up. Oscar's gotta knock Manny the **** out in order to have it dismantled. For some reason I don't see that happenin' though. I can't explain it, it's just in my gut.

It's a win/win situation for his bank account though (for Pac as well), and in the end, that's what it's all about.

Agreed! I can't think of a scenario that people will be praising De La Hoya!

If he KOs Manny Pac, he KOs the P4P #1 (and a guy who fights 3 some odd times a year) and more or less kicks boxing in the ass once again. If he decisions him then he looks like the biggest vag in the world by not being able to KO a guy who needs a note from his parents to ride the rides at Six Flags.
