The only way Froch beats Dirrell is if he gets a major hometown decision

I've seen both fight and Dirrell is BY FAR more talented than Froch.

froch was getting outboxed silly by jermain taylor before taylor gassed out.

Dirrell is young, hungry, and talented. he's going to school froch.

He may school Froch for a few rounds, several perhaps. But what happens once Dirrell gets tired?

Dirrell's clumsy & inexperienced. He doesn't have the footwork necessarily to keep moving and outbox Froch, and doesn't have the tempermant and composure to cope with any pressure Froch may put on him. And he wasn't being 'outboxed silly' by Taylor, he struggled early on as he was trying to deal with the speed of Taylor & the atmosphere of the occassion, first title defence away from home against a big name, but after that he settled down and picked up some rounds. I think I only had a couple of rounds in it by round 12.

Exactly. Froch started to claw his way back, and I had it roughly even going in to the last round.

It might happen, but talent isn't everything in boxing. The most talented guy does not always win, there are a whole host of other factors particularly in this fight. Not a particularly well thought out or convincing post.

It annoys me when people talk about "hometown decesions" coming from the UK, and British fighters gaining from them. When was the last time that happened? Diaz/Malinaggi is far worse than anything that has happened here...
Think about it. Witter/Bradley was a damn close fight, and who got the nod, Bradley. There are very few robberies in the UK, as many as in the US anyway!

I reckon Froch will land and land big against Dirrell stopping him in about 8 rounds.

Any idea what (or who) may have caused Taylor to 'gas out'?

Then he'll almost certainly win. But he WILL get tired at some stage. Dirrell has been talking like he's going to win EASY. Box rings around Froch. Make him look silly. But Dirrell WILL have to dig deep at some stage in this fight if he's going to win. GUARANTEED.

i don't know, but he gassed against pavlik and hopkins, so it's not like froch was the first to tire taylor out.
