The only way Wilder can be beat...

3 round shootout. Go for it. Knock his block off.

I'm thinking Foreman bouncing Frazier off the canvas style.

I actually agree that that is the best and safest way for almost every heavyweight to try to beat Wilder. Fury doesn’t fall in that bracket though. He is fitter now and will be far more elusive in the rematch as a result. I have Usyk in that category as well.

The likes of Ruiz and Joshua, yes, go out there and try to knock his block off in round 1 with superior boxing and good power.

You need power to do that. Fury would get sparked if he tried it

he showed his fitness clearly against that short order cook from Sweden......what a performance, put the Rumble in the Jungle to shame...he was soooooooo elusive that he got cut and wobbled and despite swinging for the fences he could put not one dent with his featherfists into that wanna be Bouncer.

I agree Fury and Usyk are the best equipped to evade Wilder for the full 12 rounds. Ruiz could be dangerous in an early round shootout as proved against Joshua and also has a chance going the distance, a fight I will be looking forward to if he comes through the Joshua rematch but all of the remaining top 20 get ironed out. He has the fear factor now and most heavyweights will be bricking it before entering the ring. Fury has felt the power and there is no telling how that will effect him during the rematch.

Cant believe wilders getting all this backing. Hes only fought a half fit fury and an old ortiz. All the guys he fights have one thing in common.....they all have slow reactions. Whoevers in charge of wilder needs a medal cause hes got to the top of the game by fighting pretty much no one. Ortiz is good....but he cant lead off. Stick povetkin in with wilder...he,ll cause wilder problems. Still say joshua will beat wilder even if ruiz beats him on the 7th. Fury will beat him again. Furt looked equally as bad in his comeback fights as he did against wallin. Wilder was ringside watching one of them thinking he was the cat that got the cream. Fury will turn up and shut him down. Wilder will go into his shell against someone with a good offence. Hes almost petrified of getting hit.

Turned into a good fighter wilder....dangerous. but he,ll fall flat when they stop picking guys that are made for him. If he was so good they wouldnt have spent 40 fights fighting puddings.

He lost every round to Ortiz, he lost (according to the majority) most rounds against Fury but that power is always, always there.

If I’m picking someone to beat Wilder it’s Joshua or Dubois. I think they’re the two biggest hitters in the division (after Wilder himself). But they’ve got a limited amount of time to do it before they get iced themselves. Straight shootouts.

The intriguing thing with Wilder is what opponents do if they get to the second half of the fight. Ortiz was beating him both times. Fury was frustrating him and nicking rounds. Even the likes of Molina and Washington had success. Do you carry on with what appears to be a successful plan or still aim to get rid of him due to the power?

I think Joshua would probably just beat him purely on the basis that I think Joshua has the power to take him out and is fundamentally a better boxer, but that’s with no major conviction. I don’t buy the ‘Fury becomes a different man when he gets a good opponent’ line. A guy who was tagged like he was against Wallin who Wilder dropped twice in the first round is very much there to be hit.

Joshua a fundamentally better boxer - you been sniffing knickers again FFS.

The forum clown must have forgot about the New York fight against a small fat pudding - man Tony Dosh showed some great fundamentals - until his ringwalk began.

    A fringe pudding at besth

We see a lot of fighters speaking about Wilder - Fury, Usyk, Whyte, AJ etc - but not one wants to face Ortiz? OK he does not have the belts now but Wilder deserves credit for 1. fighting him first time around; and 2. taking the rematch when Ortiz had him in a world of trouble in the first fight.
Ortiz is old but he gives any top heavyweight a lot of trouble -- lets see him in with others before we judge wilder? Hope he gets another shot and payday because he was boxing well at the weekend

Ortiz turned down $7m to fight Joshua before Ruiz stepped in.

Mistake? Utter greed and stupidity. So much for the boogeyman you seem to think he is.
