The only way Pac & Floyd should Fight is IF......

He weighed in at 142 for Oscar without even trying, eating as much as he likes, your boy couldnt even make 144...tell me one doesnt hold a size advantage over the other.

he just happened to be a natural LW/JWW good enough to beat WW. Giving Floyd credit here, hes better than those 2 so perhaps Pac shouldnt come in with the same handicap as he did in the past.

That said, I dont think it will matter too much, 147 it should be.

 

Pac fought Oscar at 147 and Oscar was a Jr MW fighter, which means that Oscar had to come down from 154 to 147 to fight Pac. At that time I understood that the highest weight (weight class) that Pac could fight at was 147 and no more....

Being that Pac was coming up in weight from lower weight classes was understandable and still understandable at to certain point, but it is difficult to understand why he or his coach Roach would ask for a catchweight to a boxer who is actually a WW fighter.... Why would Roach ask Floyd to fight for example at 144 or 145 when fighting at 147 for Pac seems to be ok???

If Floyd was a Jr MW fighter then Roach would be consistent by asking Floyd to fight at 147 the same way he asked Oscar to come down in weight to fight Pac at 147.

If Floyd happens to be a 147 fighter, then there is no need to ask for a catchweight fight since Floyd already fits the bill for the maximum weight (or weight class) that Pac could fight at...

So, why would Roach ask for a catchweight fight agaisnt Floyd???

To me they both should fight at 147 without a catchweight bs and same day weigh in...

Why not fight at 140 instead? and let them both get weight drained since many sees PAC and FLOYD to be natural jr WW's any way. Then we'll have an excuse why both dont have to fight the big guys at 147lbs after the fight =)
