Greetings. Everyone is excited about Flip Hrgovic taking the division by the horns, but I would just like to point out another good Croation heavy if fighting this weekend. In March, Petar Milas got a stoppage victory over former title contender Kingpin Johnson. This was no mean feat, as Johnson himself had recently beaten another former contender in Franceso Pianeta. Now, Milas is taking on Pianeta himself. This is a bit of a sad fight, as Pianeta, a limited but game guy, has really seen better years. The ring miles and a struggle with cancer have really taken their toll. Still, it will be a good name win for Milas, should things go that way. I don't know a lot about Milas, but am interested. Apparently, the guy is a former crusier, but at over 6'4", should have no trouble filling out to a good size heavy. He has already demonstrated his power. Thoughts?
he looks good and he's a baby for a heavyweight. Croatia have 4 undefeated HW prospects and they can all fight - Hrgovic, Milas, Smakici, Miljas
Milas UD Pianeta. I know that Johnson and Pianeta have seen better days, and yes, I am aware that they benefited from being in a weak era in the first place, but let's give Milas some due. He beat two former title contenders in his 10th and 11th fight. This guy is NOT just going to be fodder for Hrgovic.
Milas is alright. Needs a lot of fine tuning but he has natural talent and is young so can definitely improve. Still very raw though.
Wow, the haters will hate, but that is an impressive feat. Combined, much better than anything Hrgovic has done in the pros to this point.
Another step tonight: https://vijesti.rtl.hr/sport/boks/3...zbio-tintora-i-postao-wbc-mediteranski-prvak/ Milas gets Tintor in the 4th to become the mediterranean champ.
