    Discuss the outstanding fight(s) that happened during the same year that you were born. Given that I'm probably young comparatively to the rest of the Classic Forum, my pick would Roberto Duran vs Iran Barkley. This war of attrition obviously happened in 1989, so I have given away my age if you didn't already know. Perhaps one of the best performances I've seen on the part of an old, blown-up Roberto Duran, countering and out-punching a much bigger guy in Iran Barkley. The size disparity was awesome, and some of the shots Duran took would have knocked down a building. Love this fight. Exceeded all expectations I imagine.

    right enough, that would be useful in this thread. Id say Monzon-benvenuti as it was Rings F.O.T.Y., but fraziers demolition of ellis was pretty good and,doing the maths, was probably the night i was conceived for hey presto, 9 months later Frazier KOs Foster the day i was born:D.
