I don't see him collecting multiple belts at SFW and LW with this current outside fighter approach. This movement/aggression balance is about right at 126 as he's not badly undersized but to be equally effective at higher divisions he needs to cut down the ring and move inside a lot better, like a Tim Bradley. There is a whole defensive game to learn and if he can safely get inside and open up he could be devastating.
Do you think he will get an inside game and a defensive game? Because as of right now, I don't see any improvements in him. He's the same fighter I saw a few years ago.
The problem with these Cuban fighters is many of them have fragile Glass Jaws. I mean they are about as bad as the British when it comes to that aspect.
These guys nailing Gamboa for lack of defensive and inside game.... How many fighters are there in the world who are accomplished in either category, let alone both? Not many truly skilled or complete fighters out there today, and that's including amateur stars like Gamboa. Don't hate the player, hate the game...
This has been an interesting study for the ChinCheckers. Why is it that Cubans have horrible chins? The answer will play out soon , as many countless hours of study continues by the ChinCheckers & Team Elite.
