The overwhelming praise for Sonny Liston's abilities

What the hell are you talking about. Its the other way around since his debut. He was a MONSTROUS fighter and easily top 3 heavyweights OAT but no one cared because of his history. He was a TANK who could dish out UNHOLY damage onto anyone but no one cared because of his past. A damn shame.

knocked out Ali was accidentally afraid of Liston the most? Sonny easily won against such players as Foley, Harris, Valdez, Clevland Williams, Bethea, showing that he is a class above. Several of them could have been champions in other times

 

Besides Sonny Liston's two blowout wins over Floyd Patterson on Sept 26 1962 and July 22 1963, Liston had impressive wins over Cleveland Big Cat Williams in 1959 and 1960, Liston showed heart by fighting Williams with a fractured nose and yet even kayoed The Big Cat early. Liston had an impressive decision win over Eddie Machen on Sept 7 1960.
