Who on this forum actually keeps their own P-4-P top ten/twenty/thirty/whatever list, based on how they actually scored individual fights, going against the official verdict?

I bring this up because I have seen certain posters ranking JM Marquez above Pac in the P-4-P ratings based on his performance against Pac.

I had Marquez winning that fight as well, but at the end of the day I have to go with the official judgement on the day because, otherwise, in the long term, my P-4-P list would look ****ing stupid.

Back to the topic, if I go against a judges decision and thought the other fighter won, then I would rank him just about behind the other guy.. So if I felt JMM won against Pac, which I don't, then I would place him right behind Pac or close behind because I feel that they were evenly matched and there would be no reason for Pac to be so far ahead of JMM.. I have JMM ranked #4 on my list anyways and indeed some P4P lists end of looking ****ing ridiculous.. Maybe that's why boxrec's P4P rankings is so ****ed up..

In this order I think: Pacman, Calzaghe, JMM, Cotto, and Pavlik.

you should rank by who you think is the better fighter. Regardless of your score or the official score. If you think JMM is better than Pacquiao, then rank him above.

P4P list is a subjective list of who you consider to be the best fighters in the world based on your own judgement.

Why on Earth then would you 'have to go with the official judgement on the day' in cases of a closely scored fight?

Exactly. P4P rankings are essentially flawed, recognising official results is pointless when there is so much subjectivity involved anyway.
