I'm talking natural born toughness. Iron chinned maniacs who'd have been freakshows in medieval times

A few spring to mind :

    Golovkin
    Froch
    Mercer

    Any more for any more?

Ahh, Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Rocky Marciano spring to mind way before any of those dudes, good call on Mercer though.

    Agreed on those choices.

Yeah Mercer was insane. He wasn't even a big guy
    Good call

Foreman to just walk back into the sport at pushing 40 and poleaxe monster hitting Gerry Cooney in 2 rounds (also note that Cooney said he was in the best shape of hs life for this fight and hadn't touched a beer for a whole year) showed how naturally crazy tough he really was/is

Golovkin wasn't tough enough to do Mexican style against the smaller fighter.

Lol, relax man, its an observation. Someone mentioned GGG as a one of the toughest P4P fighters to have ever fought, but he didn't look like he was fighting very tough against Canelo. Don't get mad bro, its just what it is.

The obvious answer is Jake Lamotta.

We're talking boxing, YOU make it personal.

    That's weird to me.

Gotta be Armstrong. Then Duran, Froch, Haggler. Also Lamotta and Briggs.
Toughnes = giving zero fu¢ks and getting away with it.
