I guess we all have a little different opinions on who and at defines toughness, most of my picks have been mentioned but I'd have Thomas Hearns be on my list for sure

Yes anyone who overcomes such adversity in life deserves respect. boxing is such a demanding sport even when your equipped with good health , anyone going back into the sport after such injuries deserves accolade.
