Yea, Mayorga was straight up a tough and bad mofo, but he was also a total idiot. Beingntough only gets you so far, you gotta have the brain to apply it and at the very least PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES.
I think being lineal welterweight world champion is pretty far. Dude had a pretty good career for being pretty limited. His toughness is what actually carried him that far.
Yes anyone who overcomes such adversity in life deserves respect. boxing is such a demanding sport even when your equipped with good health , anyone going back into the sport after such injuries deserves accolade.
